Should i change my orleans from sig for Be-1620 or a 4000+ x2 65nm?
My only interest is oc.

No, M2R32-MVP
It's an ATI 580 chipset.
Well, I'm stuck with a low HTT speed which is pretty lame.
Especially since...
http://www.maxcabral.com/overclock/3.2GHz%201.25v.jpg
Currently priming... 3.2GHz @ stock volts.... DDR2 914 @ 5-4-4-14.
This HT limitation is really lame.... makes me wonder if I should have gone NF4/NF5 instead.
This is a KILLER chip. I'm going to have to get another board I'm thinking.
Just for Kicks what does it do Using a 12xMulti and 1066setting with 5xHT?...
It could be the Multi that your using dosnt get along with the controler or Ram maybe...Mine went up to 3.25ghz with the 11x and 12x with a lame bios that didnt support the chip properly...Id lower the Ram and keep trying on different divider maybe..have you seen how far it goes on Stock Multi with Your ram @settings?
Mine may go Higher but like your Mobo I topped @ 294ish fsb...x11@3.25ghz and 12x250 @3.3ghz @1.42vcore.
If yours is a BPMW it should be able to go further in theory from whats posted in this thread:up: Mine was aCPMW:rolleyes:
He just have a LE-1600 and that is the reason why he is using the multi of 11. ;)
That is the stock multi. This is the 1600, not 1620 so the multi is 11 v.s. 12. Even at 12x this chip would be limited on this board I'm sure (seeing as I'm yet to touch the voltage and I've been known to go a little wild in that department ;)). This board has a known HTT limitation that I didn't know about... darn.
I might get the DFI Crossfire 3200 board which some members here got to 330-355MHz HTT and is rated for 400MHz HTT. I got the Asus because it's AM2 compatible. If I do get a new board I'm not sure what I'll do with this one. It might end up in the classifieds over at OCF or it may become a backup or secondary rig. We'll see.
A new board it will be :).
Stepping is CCB8F Made on 0743. Mine is an APMW. Usually it's just the stepping that matters but I guess A > B > C?
Nice, a 0743 that works great to. Will look for one soon... :D
Well even though my board is "capable" of a HTT of 450MHz I have a wall in the 300 range at this point so far just like the ASUS boards.
Also I need more voltage than you guys, I can't get nearly as far with the stock voltz. I'm on water so it doesn't bother me but you think it's PSU? I have 58A @ 12V so that should be enough for some fans, a pump, one small video card, 2 HD and 2 DVD's.....
I'm at 3.26Ghz right now with 11.5 x 284, I'm gonna keep playing here.

Yesterday i played the whole day with dryice and my LE-1620 and my 6400+ BE, but i have not even one result.. Damn coldbug! :p: The LE was already as his coldbug limit, at the time i benched wit 3816MHz (319MHz) at ~ 5°C idle.. If that cpu would had a free multi it should be the killer.. And my BE is a bit to bad for some great clocks, and also a high coldbug. Highest 1M i managed with it was about 3850MHz, but way slower then the 3816MHz with LE, bcs. of 667 memory divider.

Maybe i will try some Phenom next time.
Very clean setup Fukflix! I like it :D !
Go now and test Phenom for any coldbug signs :p: !
BTW what is that drink on your desk? :p:
Well I guess there is not a HTT wall with this mobo, just the chip hates much over 3.3Ghz ughhh I need one of those BP chips!!!!!
http://usera.imagecave.com/sstrokerace/350HTT.jpg
Yes that is the right voltage, and it sits here at 21-22°C at that!
Yep, that BPs are really great! Try to get one more from a othe shop, maybe it is one. :)
I had a lot of dryice left and was a little bit bored so i did some pictures.. :p:

Oh im bad.....I forget i had a 1620  :D But yeah it sounds as if he has a lower stepping than BP/DP/..too...The CB or lower seem to do 3.2ghz no prob but then stumble after that even with the High volts...
Im gonna only run mine @2.8 ghz ..Seeing im replacing a Orleans @2.3ghz..It makes a huge differance between the two...I still want to have low watt consumption on that Pc! So ill run stock Volts@2.8ghz @1.25v:D
These are by far the Best single cores even the low 3.2ghz ones:yepp:
total awesomeness
damn coldbug
I'm at 3.25GHz right now with the CP and I keep lowering the Vcore when I have time to play with it.
Bret
That's what I ended up with:
http://usera.imagecave.com/sstrokera...0DDR2-8500.jpg
BIOS has Vcore set @ 1.60V and RAM @ 2.4V
This thing runs! I'm thinking a 6400+BE is next to play with.
Bret
Why did you use x.5 multiplier?
It's real memory frequency @ 3-3-3 or x.5 multiplier cpu-z bug?
543MHz 3-3-3-x 2,4V sounds unreal, but with DDR667 it could be correct. Which divider do you use? And why Singlechannel?
BE is a good choise too!
That is my 24/7-Setting with my BE on the M3A32:

Excellent results as aways funkflix!
Do you have any 45W brisbane there to test? Im interested to buy one but I want to see how far that chip goes.
The .0 multi's didn't clock or perform as well for some reason. Got me. Also this got me the highest bus speed and best RAM MHz as well. I noticed you guys had some issues with the bus speed maxing out and I got around that with the lower multi.
Yes I'm way more impressed with the RAM than the Chip. The RAM did cost 2 times as much as the chip though! I just kept tweaking it till it got down there, it's on the 667 or 6 divider. (3259/6 = 543)
I must just have the RAM in the board to the point where it wants to run single channel. I should move it to slots 1 & 2 rather than 1 & 3 huh? Otherwise I have no clue as to why it's going single channel on me. I never even noticed that. Might explain my :banana::banana::banana:ty Super Pi times
I'm sending the other chip and some RAM coolers back and probably going to upgrade to a BE as well, then just be done with this one.
No sure, but I think when I was bumping it up orginally it was like 1.4V which is the high stock voltage from AMD. (1.25/1.35/1.4 is what they list on the corp site)
Bret
mmmm must get one of these shortly :) , fire up the old chiller. nice results ppl
