Hmm I'm a bit confused I was reading the manual and no xp 64 raid driver came in it no floppy disc where could I go about getting this floppy... do they even have xp 64 support
Oh wait main post was updated they do have drivers, however I do not see floppy disc raid drivers for xp 64... hmm I wonder if onboard raid will even help.
Just some basic pictures of the box and accessories inside

Didnt have a chance to play with it too much but did notice a few things
while setting up
1st the computer boots 8*333 @ 2664 instead of with 9*333
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...I/IMG_0022.jpg
Also the board seems to over-volt the cpu ( ill have pictures tonight so show)
I set the Vcore 1.41250 in bios and CPU-Z reads 1.4560 on idle and 1.44 on load
I do not have a multimeter so i do not know 100% if the board is over-volting or not
that is what i have observe through window programs
The board is giving me some trouble getting stable at 9*445
Will try to have more results tonight
I don't put much faith in software reported voltages. Time permitting I'll try to have scoped values of user adjustable settings posted by the middle of the coming week.
If your processor is known stable at 9x445 it may be the divider causing the issue.
Looks very nice, probably my future motherboard
By the way did any of you guys reapply TIM on NB,SB,PWM ? Lower temps?
When I'm looking at your picture lazy with gfx card, I'm wondering if you could fit a HR 03 + 120 mm fan between the gfx and northbridge in reverse.
Cant wait to see some numbers, and performance benches :)
im a beginner at benches, so im open to suggestings on what you want tested
drools :)
i wanna see 550fsb+ with 7 multi
i'm sure you can get it @ ncix early next week john
but i'd order it asap if i were you
Not all hope is lost John :)
John, if it makes you feel any better I just got an email from MBP informing me that the board I thought I ordered isn't available after all. Stock counter must have been wrong. Rats.
I ordered one already and would be shipped out from Germany at monday to me, But I dunno if I made the right choice...and could have better picked the DFI LP UT-T2R that has proven to be a sollid board already, I wont use Xfire probbly, I ques the reason I picked this x38 could be that I like to try new stuffs and be part of the x38 hype:D, Only things bugs me is the 4:5 divider prob that had been reported by Andre or Victor whoever tested the board:X, and this would be the divider I would use the most.... I dunno if this could be fixed , thats the main reason I started to hessitate, any thoughts? Aw and the P35 LP UT-T2R cost just 10 euro`s more over the X38 LP T2R
Other thing to mention, since the x38 produce more heat then the P35 and the x38 LP dont have the heatpipe, would the stock cooling be good enough or should i get the Thermalright ?
:D i too dont know if i made the right choice
but i gotta say x38 alot stronger than p35 as long as we have a good bios
i honestly prefer it with no damn heatpipes northbridge was tranfering heat to southbridge when i tested x38-dq6"no good"
cooling everything seperatly is better i think
the p35 was 20$ cheaper than the x38 for me
if we get this board stable @ high fsb can be amazing:D
Yea idd,
Quote from Lazy: I set the Vcore 1.41250 in bios and CPU-Z reads 1.4560 on idle and 1.44 on load
Did u enable Vcore control or sumtin, the option that is just like the Maximus ( loadline calibration),
hows on the P35 LP UT-T2R, vcore( vdroop) from idle to load?
whats with the glitter on the box??:ROTF:
Anyone already tried crossfire on this board?
Cheers....
i just want to point out that this thread has 2 stars and that needs fixing ;)
Yes i did enable this feature in the bios.
Just starting to run Orthos right now running at 445*9 right now
Vcore = 1.456 / FSB VVT = 1.45 / NB = 1.47 (Smart Guardian/CPU-Z reading)
Initially once the computer was booted into windows, CPU-Z reported Vcore @ 1.476 but once on load it dropped down to 1.456
Additionally FSB VVT was set to 1.46 but drops to 1.45 and NB set to 1.5 drops to 1.47 on smart guardian.
Once again these are readings from a windows program so i can not say it is 100% correct
It will probably take some time to get this set-up stable so i might just skip this stage for now and try for max fsb on air
Added my sta for it :D
Hi,i am new here..
Just curios about few thing over here..
1.are the PCIE 2.0 om X38 board give more advatages on the P35 board ??
2. are the heatpipe that given by the P35 board show low temperature compare to this X38 board..? (correct me if i am wrong)
thank you for replying..
