Yeah, and after all my DDC pump top testing this weekend, I have no doubt that you can increase pressure capabilities of a pump top. The D5 is a flow monster, we just need to make a top that pushes the curve to the pressure side and improves efficiency. It's all very possible...
Any new news on this? If this thing was around the $30-40 price point I'd get one for sure.
Ok, I'm too intruiged to see if I can pull it off. I'll buy the piece of delrin, mcmaster is on the same coast as me so I should be able to pick it up fairly cheap. I'll need some VERY precise measurements for initial carving and if it goes well I'll need to borrow someones pump to make 100% sure of clearances. I'll ship it to Martin for testing if he'd like to and whoever lends me their D5 will have dibs on the first production one *IF* they do go into production, at cost. I'll order the Delrin around the 8th of next month as I've got too many projects at the moment but, should be prety much cleared up by then. Any takers?
I'd buy one if it's good, I'll pay the shipping of course.

I have 2 D5's sitting not in systems anymore. 1 was sent to nol to test out on my TEC blocks, the other is sitting in a drawer. This last one was swaped out and replaced by dual ddc-3.2 which is = in foot print space.
If i had space for a D5, id rather just drop another iwaki rd-30. The Rd-30 is only a tad bit larger. If you compare to two side by side.
