I thought it was going to be something like that. They made the Canterwoods so good... latency penalty of 5:4 from 1:1 is almost non existent ... I think thats prolly the best thing about that chipset :)
I suppose this also means that the new PC4000 is pretty worthless... OCZ, Corsair... can say its the fastest memory so far... my opinion, the fastest chips ever made have been winbond BH5's ... 250-260 at fastest settings isnt going to be beaten by 300 weak ass settings.

True but the fact of the matter is you got better odds of craping out a pink twinkie then getting stick's that do 250+@ 2-5-2-2 esp in pairs.Quote:

I reckon BH-5 sticks can usually be persuaded to run 250 or more when you feed them enough volts :) If they're not on some crappy PCB anyway.Quote:

Yea they stopped and the CH5 chips are useless :( Why cant memory makers ever make 2 good chip types in succession?? Fingers crossed for BH-4 I guess...

What brand/manufacture of pcb is your BH-5 sticks?

2x256mb corsair xms3500 plat, bh5, highest itll go with 3.25v is 232 at 2/2/2/5, and it needed an 80mm fan blowing at it to reach that. but then im just totally cursed whatever i buy.
I got 8 sticks of bh-5 corsair xms3500 not a one will do over 245 even with 3.5 pumping threw them.
but on a side note if i put 4 in they will do 249 at 3.3.
I will stick with my 1:1 settings for now:)

you do have like 200 MHz more on the CPU though ;) Your car high is sort of low for 4.4 GHz too. I'm guessing OPP has slightly higher dragothic you have slightly higher car and lobbyQuote:

are you absolutely sure they are stable then when you put 4 in? cos that makes no sense, if no stick will do 245 even with 3.5v, then it cant be stable with 4 sticks at 249 and only 3.3v. im guessing because theres so much more memory, most of it isnt being used and so not being pushed as hard and so doesnt fail like 1 or 2 sticks would. but if you ran prime for long enuff and let it use enuff memory it would probably fall flat on its face (and so any time you happen to be using a lot of memory again itll probably be unstable even if it doesnt crash). unless someone else can come up with a better explanation?Quote:

Well if the bios automatically adjusts something when 4 sticks are installed its entirely possible:)

ps. maybe you should try some Kingston ValueRAM DDR400 with BH5 on em.. so far I haven't found a single stick that wouldn't do 250 2-2-2-5 at 3.3V ;)
and in any case you dont even need RAM capable of 250MHz 2-2-2-5 cos 280 5:4 2-2-2-5 will do the job too.

And i can watch it make a difference in the very first 5 seconds of test 1.
As i can hit over 335fps in the first 1-4 seconds
with 5:4 setting wont budge over 326 period.
even at 636 core it wont.

I think it has everything to do with 1:1 being its the only way i can get it .
Oh and in test 2 when the door opens @1;1 i can get 85fps
5:4 tops at 80fps.
Subtle differences yes but you cant sit there and tell me it dont matter when im watching it matter sir;)

try '01 lobby? as far as i'm concerned 3D 03 is a messed up little bench lol ;)
I suppose its possible some areas of a test need a little more bandwidth rather than good latency
If you can bench 3d at 300fsb and run your ram at 250 cas2-5-2-2
How many of us are benching 3d at that 1 maybe?
Also its more then likely only going to happen on a 2.4.
Which isnt enough in 2001 to fiend off the High MHz class comps.
Toofast may have a damn good shot though with that 2.8 if he can get it stable and benching.
