Just mount your FuZion, look at the results, and in a few days we'll have more accurate results from Eddy's block and THEN you can decide what to do, but like I said... for now, just mount that FuZion with nozzle :)

I would like to see a comparison with a bowed and nozzled fusion. As each the bow and the nozzel seem to pick up a 1-2 degree advantage each a 4 degree difference might even out with the modded fuzion. However this looks to be a mighty nice piece of work and I look forward to the real life pics :D
it does look good....if the fuzion gained say 4 degrees from bow + nozzle then it would be the same (according to the graph posted earlier...). This is still a much nicer and the design seems much different from the fuzion.
I would definitly buy this block if that were the case.
I want to see some real life quad core tests...preferably with a B3 stspping CPU
Yeah me too. Since the fuzion nozzles are only $6 and available out of the box, it may as well be a comparison against the best combination currently available.
I sure hope they send one to nikhsub1, all of the multiple mounts that he does really irons out the details in what if any differences there are. I just don't trust most of the review sites, I've just seen way too many variables they left wide open in thier testing.....
Time will tell, but this is very good to see. I really expected swiftech to come back and make a new product to shine past the fuzion, but with EK's top notch quality, I'd happily replace my fuzion with the EK if private party testing shows it to be better.:up:

I knew a thinner base would help, but I definatly didn't think about something like this... just goes to show innovations will always be made.

Has there been pressure drop curve data released for this block yet?
If thermal performance is coming out, why not release the pressure drop curve as well?
It would be great to see a comparison of the block, a stock fuzion, a nozzled 4.5mm fuzion, and the GTX.
From the looks of the stainless plate nozzle, I suspect there is a substantial improvement that could be made regarding pressure drop and that's simply to use a thicker nozzle plate and radius the inlet side to reduce the entrance losses.
It's obvious to me the slotted nozzle plate is the controlling factor regarding pressure drop. There is likey a fair amount in the microchannels as well, but making a small change like making the stainless nozzle plate out of 1/4" or 1/8" acetal and refining the nozzle to reduce entrance losses would prove beneficial IMHO.
In the article that Marci posted it says that microchannels don't need turbulence to perform well. So you might be right about the nozzle plate. I think that as long as water circulates well through the microchannels, the nozzles could be wider without affecting temps.
Perhaps they don't have the equipment? (which wouldn't be all that surprising)
I'll put a pressure drop curve together whenever I end up getting my hands on one... as well as thermal performance (assuming that I can find the time to get some other testing out of the way first).

back on topic: i still have all my EK barbs, both FC-79 blocks and can't wait till i graduate, and get employed again so i can rebuild a machine or two! and of course i love to see that eddy is expanding to fill certain market holes. now don't ever extend yourself eddy, we dont want a drop in quality man!
but now that i am over here, I can get all my eddy blocks and barbs.... for cheaper! yeaaaa!
