IQ is definitely as important as frame rate, and on a technical level NVidia's this round has been proven superior. This is fact and nothing can change that as the AF algorithm is hard-programmed in. Now, going on preference you can say you prefer the ATi image, but going by facts it's proven nvidia does have the upper hand.
GF8 series technically has superior image quality to the R6xx. ;) It's not that noticeable, but technically the difference is in favor of the GF8. Even beyond3d stated this one. :D
