AMD Says ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro – Limited Edition Product.
AMD Blasts ATI Radeon HD 2600 X2 with HD 2900 Pro
“The HD 2900 Pro is not something AMD needs. Those are just ‘defective’ graphics cards that could not run at 742MHz’ and there are very few of them, just about several thousands worldwide. In fact, we only accepted orders [on them] for several days,” said a representative of an add-in card supplier who wished to remain unnamed.

In one shop is for about 350$ - 950zł (1$ - 2,7zl), but availible 10/15/2007
Really need someone to snag a 2900Pro and really clock it and increase the vGPU to see if additional volts will help it clock higher. Basically need a 3DMark tweaker to take the card and really see what it'll do in experienced hands. Wonder if this card will even be available in America.
I will try my best for you!
I'm limited to AIR only at the moment but vgpu mod should be doable if me or someone else will figure it out!
VGPU mod for X1300 took me 2 weeks due to lack of datasheets for PWM ICs, but probably I was first in the world with 700MHz x1300 GPU :p: ...
if the retail version will be able to hit 680~700, then imho this card will be the best bang for buck for sometime
So PClab got htis roght: there's limited quantity of 2900pros.Quote:

Ha, ha you got that right! Darn, I just bought a Nvidia for my new build only cuz of the situation.
If ATi would have had some of these I would have bought them in heartbeat. I have been rooting for ATi to make a come back and eat Nvidia's lunch. I personally don't like their tactics. Good to see:up:
I might pick one up...it is so tempting.
Especially since Directcanada has it on sale for $250CAD

257 shipped in the states
2900PRO FTW!
The only thing wrong is AA, but ATi gets screwed because shader based AA isn't supported too well.
