Think of it this way - AMD/intel releases a faster CPU, not long after you get their previous fastest. Does that entitle you to the faster one free? Nope.
Things get improved upon, it is normal :)

Am I the only one that wants to know where it can be bought!!!! Great idea and I love the looks.
That analogy is flawed, because the processors worked (minus small errata lists) and as you said you're upgrading to a faster product.
The reservoir does it's job which is holding water to prime the pump and to the fill the system, but it does not do it properly. I had a DDC with a Swiftech MCRES at it worked like a dream. Reservoirs are used in favour of T-Lines for fast bleeding, and if the reservoir fails to do this - then what is the point?
I'm not speaking out to be moan for the sake of it, or to put Eddy down. As you can see from my avatar, I owned some Asus NB/SB1 blocks, and they were amazing quality, never seen such nice looking blocks, the delrin was milled smooth as a babies bum.
I also had and 8800GTX full cover block but sold it due to the stealth fitting my tubing layout better and again, the quality was out standing.
If no one voices their opinion, then no one is heard. If no one is heard, than manufacturers are non the wiser as to what we want and it's us that buy the products.
Nice to see it's fixed now with a powerful pump, thanks for the pictures.
I'm not sure why someone needs a break. He's selling us a product. I expected the product to work right the first time. I was expecting it to work right the 2nd time when I bought 4 revision bottoms for all 4 of my EK reservoirs. Now I'm told I have to spend money a third time to get a product to work how it's supposed to the first time?
Look at my systems. I use and recommend Eddie's blocks. However, just like I blast those who blindly worship a company (Aqua Computer ring a bell?), I'll call it as I see it.
My two UFO's are basically walking advertisements for Eddie's blocks. However, he still needs to earn my money for future purchases. In this case, I trust mistakes like these will be avoided in the future with a bit more testing.
Cool down, ranker. My rigs are no advertisement for Eddy, but all manufacturers have had their fair share of gaffes, RCHN included. The important thing is to recognize the goof ups and fix them. Hopefully, they don't happen too often.
So it'll be see-through and we can plug it into our rev2 end caps?
I'll give it a go
Guys, with a cylinder shaped res, it's like we're constantly flushing a toilet, what else did you expect to happen? Another problem is the 150 is just too short for a powerful pump, if we use the bigger versions for the more powerful pumps, the cyclone likely wouldn't even exist in the first place. The EK res is not only for vertical installation, it can be laid horizontal as well, end of cyclone.
Eddy, really nice to see you here. Great devlopment on everything. This new adational part for the res seams to work. What everyone has not bothered to do was notice you have tested it! If it's going to be £5/6GBP then thats cool, and if it's implemented into the next batch of res's you go to ship out thats even better init. I'm more than happy to buy it and glad you took the time to test it out.
Keep this :banana::banana::banana: coming Eddy as you've manny fans
You can see the price on our webshop.
Little money...
Four bucks in my money. Can't complain about that.
add shipping and its a negative for some....
in the mean time, maybe some DIY acrylic could tide some of us...
Aye, I'd be inclined to agree with that - p'raps it's worth dimensioning up your pic Eddy and reposting it so that folks can make their own if desired?? (Or someone buying one and adding dimensions themselves for benefit of the wider community).
No problem at all!

Very cool, Eddy!
WTG
I'll buy mine, though. Too busy.
Does this have any measurable effect on flow (positive/negative)? I got an EK reservoir myself, I might be interested in this.
What I would be really interested is a compact reservoir/top combination for a DDC that actually works well.
Something like this Alphacool top here:

The problem with these reservoirs is that they usually cause the pump to draw air, because you can't get all the air out of the reservoir.
If you were to replace the screw top of the reservoir though with a 1/4" connector, you could just get rid of all the air using a T-Line.
Also, some kind of design that prevents cyclones in the top would be great.
This setup isn't all that compact, but it seems to work quite well, and makes it easy to mount the pump/res. I used this fitting from Danger Den with the EK 150 Res.Quote:

That looks nice, but if you have a small case like my Lian Li 6077 there's no way to fit the reservoir on the inside:

Sorry for the mess with the cables, just got the PSU yesterday.
I'd love something good for my Laing so I don't need the external reservoir anymore. And I imagine many people have small cases or just prefer small reservoirs, which is why so many people have Swiftech Micros.
I'm happy I got the EK MultiRes instead of the Swiftech Micro, but I'd be even happier if I had a good small top/reservoir for my Laing. Preferably with some kind of decoupling/ mounting system that allows it to be mounted in a a 3.5" *or* 5.25" bay.
shazza i really like that fitting there, but does it affect the flow in anyway? for the better or worse?
Shazza,
I like your idea. I think I will connect my EK and DDC-2 like that too!
Nowi
Shazza, I would just keep an eye on that Alphacool top, just to make sure it doesn't start to crack.
Will keep an eye on the top ... good point.
I can't really say if there is any flow restriction ... since this is my first attempt at water cooling and I don't have a flow meter included in the loop. My temps seem okay, so things seem to be working as they are supposed to.
Kinda funny, with that picture just above your post.
The small holes you can see in the alphacool pump tops' side are for drive bay couplings and they have a small squarish res that combines with that top.
So it's out there. You've just got to track it down.
Unless your's is a D5, not DDC.
mini leak there shazza?
looks a little over tightened...
shadda is that a leak on top of plexi besides coupling barb?
