At least, I am glad I still have Procore * 1048 that hasn't been sold yet.
This block just too yummy to pass up. I guess SLK-900u can go to my 3rd rig now.
Does anyone know how Cathar is doing on shipping blocks?
And any of you lucky enough to have recieved a block from Cathar could you please post how long you waited? Performance?

i got my block from cathar he has good service. upon depositing to his acct he immediately shipped it and i got it the following day :)
He is also an accomodating guy. great email inquiry response.

You could/should add a couple of bucks to help yourself out. I know I wouldnt mind paying. I want to go phase change eventually. Interesting to see what you'll could do with pelt and/or gpu blocks. $5 extra or so * a couple hundred=:)

Any pump that delivers at least 6lpm in wide-open mode, and has a peak pressure head of at least 1.5m (5') will do the job just fine.Quote:

Im very pleased with it.... I will never buy another waterblock unless it comes from you... keep up the good work and please put me on the list of your next block..... as for temps compared with the lapped stock hsf, not much difference.... 25c difference at idle and 30c+ at load diff :D and at 10fsb lower speed....Quote:

Had to get something quick and got maze 4 in the mean time. The sad thing with P4C800E-DLX is... it reports CPU temp of 23c with this setup when ambient is at 27c. Fully loaded with 2.4c @ 3.34Ghz 1.6v shows 31c running prime 95... (sure...)
Only comparison I have is SLK-900u with 32cfm fan running 2.4c @ 3.2ghz 1.55v returned 40c under same ambient so I know it works good. :P
Any comparison of cathars older WW block vs Maze 4? I plan to do quick comparison once I get the cascade vs maze 4. (I think I know which one will do better but have no idea how much of temp difference it will be)

Able to run this CPU (a week 4 XP2800+) to 2.68GHz. Seems to run a little cooler than the T'bredB, and I suspect that this is due to the larger die size, which naturally makes it easier to cool.
Cathar - what Vcore, fsb and multiplier is that 2800 running at?
My old 0307 week 2500+ will run up to 2375 on my old 8rda+ with an SLK900U in winter (2.025Vcore). The SLK900U had a Papst 80mm 40cfm and the case had four other Papst 80mm 40cfm fans running. It ran Prime95 stable 24/7 until summer arrived.
To give an idea in comparision with the 2800+ you have I've included some figures.
200x11 @ 1.775 Vcore * 46.5Amps = 82.5 watts.
216x11 @ 2.025 Vcore * 50.22Amps = 101.7 watts.
For the 200fsb I took the 3200+ max current as specified in AMD's technical papers. I linearly scaled up the current figure for the 216 fsb figure.
I'd give temp figures but I won't due to the 8rda+'s notorious inaccurate temperature readings.
