Heres a 248.8FSB 1:1 on P4P800 with HyperX PC3000 2-2-2-5:
3604/3720
..so timings do make a little difference ;)

macci: are you cooling rams in some way to achieve that overvolt (3.6v)? I'm used now to go up to 3.3v with winbond chips but 3.6v is scary..... moreover is the increment from 3.2v to 3.6v, in terms of overclockability, linear or it jumps from one step to another?

Here's my trusty JIUHB1700, and VDIMM is 2.7V! I know there's still plenty-o-room for growth here, it's the dam VDD on my Soltek SL-75FRN-L it's max is 1.8V (by the way Ryan you can add that to the compatability list).

If ya'll recall, I've been proclaiming one of OCZ's strongest attributes, are it's ability to acheive and maintain very high overclock's with very little VDIMM. This has always been indicative, of quality IC's For an unmodded nForce2 chipset, this Soltek slay's my 8RDA out of their respective boxes. Lest we forget were running 2x512MB, isn't it much more strenuous on the memory-controller? Please correct me, but aren't 100% of these insanely high bandwidth tests done with 1GB-kit's?

for me this OCZ Pc3700 [ not gold series ] took 3.17 volts to achieve stability on my NF7S rev 2.0 board at 233 fsb in DC. 236 fsb wouldnt load windows. timings used was 6 3 3 2 wouldnt do anymore aggressive timings than this

If they don't use Winbond, then they're using crap. Then what Samsung? GL 2000 crap? You want that?

in simple terms Ultra Low noise refers to noise of the electrical variety .

Trust me when I say signal integrity issues, including crosstalk and noise are the top issues confronting semiconductor engineers right now

From your post I assume your not an EE , so I have attached some information about electrical noise and signal integrity for your perusal .
You can read a bit about signal to noise ratio's, crosstalk signal integrity and so forth. I am sure most MSCE's know a bit about the same phenomena as it occurs often it networking situations when ever signals are routed closely together

Yeah, I wish they would hurry up and show up. The AMD side of the fence has been really boring lately. A new chipset to check out wouldn't hurt things. But for right now, nVidia still rules the AMD chipset roost.

Yes, nForce2 rulez performance wise, but sometimes I need more than just pure performance. I would like an IDE driver, better sound drivers and many more.

What you fail to realize (or may be unwilling to learn which is seemingly evident in your shallow disposition) is while Winbond does in fact produce some excellent memory, their memory still uses manufacturing techniques which are becoming dated. In my next article to be published at Madshrimps, (which corrects many of the errors in the; "AMD Ingots, sliced TBread..." article) you'll see there's much more to speeding up memory, then simply shrinking the die, or worse increasing the voltage. Where-as CPU manufacturers have made a somewhat smooth transition from .15 micron to .13micron due to their enhancing the 248nm Soft-lightography process, memory manufacturers have not had such a smooth transition. The follwoing quote from EEdesign may illuminate the complications of which I speak albeit pertaining primarily to CPU manufacture;
"While there is a strong emphasis on accurate timing and signal integrity analysis that takes into account crosstalk effects, the impact of voltage drop has been underestimated or ignored. The time-variant nature of voltages can cause gates to slow down or speed up depending on the supply voltage differential between driver and receiver. Additionally, glitches can be injected as a result of power and ground rail noise and reduced noise margins."

These complications may become painfully evident in the chipset ascendancy upon the memory bus. For example, it seems illogical to me people are running their memory at these insanely high VDIMM's 3.1V, even 3.3V, to keep pace with the Canterwood, and Sprindale FSB speeds? As an anology, the current "Fab" evolution (die-shrink) in the core manufacture of microprocessors connote's a voltage decrease, while concurrently speed increases. Wouldn't there then be a prima facie, reduction in memory voltages as well? And this is where the difference in OCZ's manufacturing techniques (which have been overlooked till recent) give them an edge. I'll conclude with a portion of the article Ryan directed you to;

I don't sinply want to be "RIGHT", that's not how i can learn. I certainly hope folks here will let me know if I'm becoming an ass. I'm ultimately a nOOb, so long as I remain a noob, I'm open to learn. I'm 1st to admit when I'm wrong, besides I'm pretty sick, so I don't really have time for ego.

The last article i wrote, people slayed me, [M] had the faith to publish it I thank-M for that. I learned from what critics said, even when they were coming at me charcol lighter in one hand, match in the other, true flamers. Many of their points were totally valid.

I just get a little hypertensive when people respond with insults. OCZ has been good to me, that's NOT the primary reason I support them; it's because I think they are well ahead when it comes to R&D. Performance positive.
