I just noticed this and I really don't know how long its been happening because when I turn on the PC every morning I usually walk away(start coffee, use bathroom). But the other day I noticed that there was an additional Post beep, looked over and noticed that it was booting again when I know I already saw the POST screen. What I noticed is the part of post where it says UPDATED ESCD.......Success. Which is kind of weird considering I haven't added hardware or changed any BIOS setting. Since then I noticed it does this every morning on boot(sometimes even twice). It will do the UPDATED ESCD...SUCCESS and then reboot. After the normal ESCD it will continue to boot into Vista with no problem.

It may be one of my BIOS setting but I don't know how long its actually been doing this so I can't be sure. Something I'll have to look into when I get a minute. Other than that this board has been exceptional and I have been gaming my butt off since I got it so haven't done anything since the initial OC to 3.4.

Anybody else notice this?

BKA: I have not noticed that with this board, but I have seen it with my older mobos.. like, years ago.. I too have been gaming like crazy and have not spent any time OC since I got things stable with a fairly conservative OC at only 3.2... I have a coolit freezone sitting next to my desk also.. no time to install it really.. but I know I will have to install it onto the back of my back 120mm fan so it fits between the case side and the tall PWM/FET sinks on this board.. it's going to make getting the back two cpu block anchor screws in kind of tough, but I think it's going to just barely fit. whew. hoping. :)

Toti: I hear a new bios, maybe F4 final is coming out today or something.. very soon. I read this over on Anand's forums.. they're doing a "part 2" to their review of this board and are waiting for that bios to come out before they do more testing.. so as of now F4 beta is the latest..

Is it difficult to OC. Never tried it like you guyes. Easytune does that works ok or is it better to do it in bios? I am just running it on stock.:)

I like to OC from the bios myself.. the easytune tool seems terribly limited to me.. I don't like it much.. I use Everest Ultimate to see all the system voltage and temp stats if I want to look at them..

from gigabyte tech support, the unlisted default voltage values on n680sli

Memory defaults at 1.8v
CPU vcore defaults at 1.325v

CPU to NB Voltage (FSB) - 1.2v (+.05V ~ +.35V in .05V increments)
NB to SB Voltage (HT link) - 1.3v (+.05V ~ +.35V in .05V increments)
NB Core / PCIe Voltage (spp) - 1.2v (+.05V ~ +.20V in .05V increments)
SB Core / PCIe Voltage - 1.2v (+.05V ~ +.35V in .05V increments)
SB Standby Voltage - 1.5v (+.05V ~ +.15V in .05V increments)
