Heh, my philosophy on fatties is to start at 2.6v. :)
All that agree say "yea". :p:
Looking good so far, the tRCD at 3 even at those volts is signature for fatbodies.
Once I finish patching win2k pro I'll update bios.
Speaking of which... will 2kpro work with core 2 duos? I don't have a spare copy of xp on hand and dont want to switch my copy over yet.
I linked him to the Biostar bios. That's the one all the overclockers here use.Quote:

:banana::banana::banana: i saw P965Deluxe lol so i thought it was the Asus one hehehQuote:

Might try clockgenning up in windows tomorrow. Right now Im just asking for help in the p965 pt thread.
@ 3200mhz 400x8 1:1 4-3-3-9 in windows now.
:woot: i've just received shipping notification for the rams. yeah. looks like i'll get mine after x'mas..:slap:
You need a better bios and a volt mod. Can you get either?Quote:

Drop your multiplier in windows using CrystalCpuid http://crystalmark.info/software/Cry...D/index-e.html and see what the max bus speed you can hit is.Quote:

And got to 896 @ 2.1v memtest stable. Getting errors at 900+ though, and 2.2v doesnt gain a single mhz... neither does loosening timings to 4-4-4-10 or 4-5-5-12. Neither does raising Chipset or MHT (or whatever that other voltage is), neither does going from 1.55v to 1.6v on vcore... so Im gonna test cpu to eliminate it as a variable, then get back to memory.
I've ordered also a pair of 1GB sticks, but I'm still looking for a motherboard. The CPU I want is the C2D E6600. Is this memory going to work on a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 motherboard? I heard from a guy his Fatties won't boot at the Gigabyte board. Someone have an alternative for me which will support the fatbody's if the Gigabyte isn't going to work?
Ghehe, I just wanted to post that question :D Also got one pair of these sticks. I'm going for a E6600, but don't know what motherboard to get.
Have mailed to Asus, but no reply jet. When I'm trying to call them I only get a fax on the other end of the line ;)
they are working fine guys, from the first boot :) :)

Im starting to suspect Northy temp may be my problem. Im not sure.
Did you lower your multiplier to eliminate the cpu as a variable with CrystalCPUid?Quote:

P5B Dlx? What divider? try 3:2 or 2:3 it should do better ;)Quote:
