Ok some update from me ;)
Vga with water and done vgpu with 1k VR Start testing for max vgpu and hmm not bad 1.55V is ok. More V = kick from OVP :p:
Already hit 620FPS in nature 01 with clocks 675/999MHz and cpu @ 3850MHz
Temp not good 65C stress

Tune down voltage and back testing ;)

Where did you get 1408 from?
602MHz * 2 = 1204MHz :p:Quote:

I'm using 1.35V idle (1.31V load) 24/7. Card is watercooled.
I think that totally safe values are ~1.35Vgpu and ~1.95V to memory.
Of course you can use higher volts, but there is no way to estimate is it safe.
Any new ideas on the "wall" at 700MHz core? Is it temperature related, or is there more to it than that? My card is loading at 36-38 degrees and I think I should be able to do better than 685-690Core.
My VCore reading is still weird...DMM(s) measure VDDR accurately, and probes show that my core Vmod works so i`m in the right place, but still reads about 0.1V higher than everyone else...weird.
Yesterday i was finally able to fire up my modded 8800gts.
default:
1.26VGPU (load)
1.90Vmem (load)
648/1000 max. stable for 24/7 gaming
modded:
1.40VGPU
2.02Vmem
720/1035 max. 24/7 stable =)
mem oc improved only a little bit but its fine, i can go even higher for benches and still raise vmem a little.
raiden
Stock:
idle 1,305 V
load 1,285 V
RAM 1,905 V
€: its a Sparkle GTS
I have tryed the mod but it dont works, I must try it another time
I will test my GTS with dry ice soon. So then we will know is it only temperature related problem.Quote:

*what my DMM says...might actually be 1.32-1.36V?
What kind of gpu temperature did you got with dry ice? (with bad contact)
My lowest temp has been with chilled water (17 celsius idle ~25 load)
ROFL 0 to +15 degrees...when I say bad I really mean ******* awful :D
Under the chiller i`m loading at 34-36 degrees. I can take it lower, but none of my gears insulated at the mo.
Your major HWBot competition wont be coming from me at the mo, put it that way ;)
EDIT: pushed a bit harder and can bench 3D03 at 735MHz core, at 36 ish degrees with my DMM showing 1.52V load....that might be 1.42-.146V compared to everyone elses, which seems more in line?
Users with 320MB versions of GTS, please post idle/load voltages here and tell us how Vmod's are working. Thanks!
will do,they just came forsale yesterday in states .getting two and i will help you help me. thursday they will be here.
thanks for all the info

ddr 1.893
now after mod so far
idle 1.469

I am considering doing these two mods as im going to watercool my 8800GTS very soon.
I havent tried vmodding before and there is something i dont understand.
When i compare the pics of the mod done on your card and the picture of how to do the mod then the wires are not soldered to the same places, Why is that?
Where excactly do i solder the wires to?

And another question. I know it might a stupid one :D
When it says connect to Ground is that to the black PSU wires or somewhere on the GFX pcb?
Thanks

You can use the red point or blank spot on the left. Good point to ground vr is in upper picture.
Thanks alot

4% increment VGU = @ 670/2000Mhz @ 1.32V vs 1.26V stock (630/2000Mhz) both 1350Mhz Vertex @ GTX
Use 1k Trimmer or even 500R for better precision (but 500 starts in 1.38v idle/ 1.32v Full)
