Seems a little late in time for them to still have L627's since they have been shipping later weeks for a very long time.

Return it to Newegg unused. They will give you a refund. No restocking fee if you call them.
It sucks for me, I live pretty close to the CA warehouse so I have no chance of getting B stepping from NJ warehouse.

Wow Guys!
Last sunday I ordered a chip from newegg hoping to get a 29B and instead I was shipped an 27A from NJ. (Tuesday)
I called newegg to return the chip (unopened) and asked for a refund (no restocking fee BTW)
I then placed an order the same tuesday and today when I came home I had a Week 30A waiting for me!
I didn't really want to try it since I've been wanting a "B" CPU, but I was curious enough to try it. I need it to reaply my Ceramique thermal paste as suggested by Artic Silver for use with Dual core CPU's (I was doing the old "credit card" method)
Well, This baby can do 3.6ghz with 1.375 (maybe less, don't care to try) orthos stable for about 30m.
It can do 3.8ghz with 1.4,
And 4ghz with 1.48V (1.4375 In bios)
As far as temperatues go; I'm amazed! I don't know if it is the Week 30A or the new way of applying the thermal paste (I use Ceramique) but @:
3.6ghz: 32 Idle
3.8ghz 35 Idle
4.0ghz 37 Idle
Very happy!
If you are near a Fry's then you might wanna check them out. I got my B's chip there. Best chip I have tested in a while; 3.6 orthos stable 1.37v bios idle 23C. I'm thinking of lapping this actually to get under 20C would be lovely.Quote:

just a great IHS contact!
Good CPU, my last E6400 running @ 3200 1.47 24/7 (this 6600 run as 3510!) and older E6600 L623A run as 3240 @ 1.47 only :(
Looks like a new week from the egg. CA warehouse. UPS just delivered me an E6600 L631B057. Cant test till next week when the rest of my hardware arrives.
ordered a new 6600 chip from newegg and this time it is shipping from TN...we shall see....:toast:
I got a L628B from Fry's last night. I was going to ask for a B but the fine chick behind the counter had me distracted so I didn't ask. I ended up with one anyways. I only had a little chance to test it but it looks promising. I hope to get to 4.5 GHZ on phase. Orthos stable of course.
