I need 1.6-1.625V measured to run 4 GHz stable, and with air cooling the load temps shoot up through 70C and crashes the system. WC will probably fix that so I am digging my gear out of the closet from the Athlon 1.4 days. Looks like I'll need a couple of quiet 120mm fans to cool the radiator.:)Quote:

Ohh thats a lot of voltage. Remember its 65nm. I am using 1.6V to bench at 4g, but for 24/7 I am only running 1.425V, so maybe you should consider letting it crunch at something like 1.5-1.55V.
Its too bad C2D scales very well with more voltage, so its hard to let it run at a lower speed, but its worth it in the long run I suppose.
And btw Victor. You might want to delete the "I use Crunch3r's Optimised Files So Kiss My A$$" smilie in your sig. That could be missinterpreted, which will result in trouble.
