Thanks for the warning, i didn't realize that.
So the Koolance fittings work, i get those then.
Thanks for your advice
EK do not make plastic barbs therefore I would not have thought so! I have some wide band constant tension self tightening hose clamps that are used on 3/4" OD tubing and I would never use them on plastic barbs, they seal so tightly and all the way round the circumference that I fear they would easily crack any plastic barb, be it on a cpu block, pump, or any plastic barb. In fact even using those crappy jubilee clips that cut into the tubing and are difficult to fit and remove are IMO not a good idea with plastic barbs. eg. some people don't know their own strength and I certainly don't because I overtighten things to almost breaking point!
In fact I am glad I have found this thread because I need some metal barbs for my Storm block! :D
For eXa: The Danger Den Maze 4 Chipset blocks use G 1/4" thread barbs, I have just ordered them from PPC's. I noticed that this fact had been ommitted from the list. ;)
I don't often challenge people but when you post a message like that I have to wonder at your level of intelectuality. :shakes: Of course I am answering a thread that is over a year old because I had something pertinent to add which filled in the gap of waterblock/thread sizes and IMO I had something new to add to the thread which could/could not have been of use to hoax. Or anybody else for that matter new to watercooling. :yepp:
I could have gone much further because I believe the initial thread post should be re-written because it contains numerous mistakes.
I have been through this s*** before on other forums, if you have something new to add and it is relevant, well all it can do is help! And besides if this thread had been complete from the start then it should have been "Stickied" and locked and a new thread should have been started. :yepp: People having problems then or needing info., confirmation, advice, etc., should have posted their questions/answers in the new thread.
Do Not try to insult my intelligence or belittle me because I am new to this forum, if you don't like it then go and report my post to a moderator. And stay On Topic!
Welcome to XS and please review forum rules.
Oh, and digging up old topics is unnecessary.
(and more carefully consider what you post...others before you didn't last long posting like that)
