Hmmm damn, I'm running p5b dlx with e6600 and I'm doing 3.5ghz (1:1) but it requires so much voltage! I have to set it to 1.425v in bios. You're barely doing 1.3v?! wth?!

yeah it's a REALLY good CPUQuote:

that was the best e6300 what i had

tomorrow I get 2x E6600 B2 and 2x Q3220 B3 :woot:
where are you buying these chips from? how do you know what codes you are getting?
just look at for sale section here
there are always deals on good CPUs
You can do 500fsb+ with stock vmch and vfsb? You don't even up the voltage in the bios? It's STOCK?!
yes:toast:Quote:

set and/or auto
???
mean both will do that :)
Same here with my Anus, Vdimm and Vcore manually set but the rest @ AUTO for 500MHz ;)
If it's set at auto then the vmch is actually set at higher than stock voltage.
i know that that's why i've told you that both auto and set values give 500 easyQuote:

i have and values check outQuote:

people still ask question about these boards and settings i use
here is a little Bios Settings Template for you all to give you a rough idea ..... hope it helps,,,,you can use this when benching you rig and recording settings>>> kinda hard to remember it all heheh
AI Tuning: Manual
CPU Frequency: 266- whatever (depending on OC i'm at) >> i do use 398 a bit because of strap change and clockgening ;)
DRAM Frequency: DDR2-533 (1:1 at the moment due to this piece of :banana::banana::banana: not being able to run 4:5 divider properly :()
PCI Express Frequency: 100
PCI Clock Synchronization Mode: 33.33Mhz
Spread Spectrum: Disabled
Memory Voltage: 2.1-2.45v depending on frequency.............i normally give just enough for it to run stable....i never shove max volts when OCing ;)
CPU Vcore Voltage: ALWAYS SET THIS VALUE ......range 1.35-1.675 :D ;)
FSB Termination Voltage: Auto
NB Vcore: AUTO>>>>i've also jacked this one up all the way for high clockgen frequencies
SB Vcore (SATA/PCIE): AUTO>>>>i've also jacked this one up all the way for high clockgen frequencies
ICH Chipset Voltage: AUTO
Memory Remap Feature: Disabled
Configure DRAM Timing by SPD: Disabled
DDRAM CAS# Latency: 4
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay: 4
DRAM RAS# Precharge: 4
DRAM RAS# Activate to Precharge: 4>>>considerable impact on performance and stability
DRAM Write Recovery Time: 2
DRAM TRFC: 20>>>considerable impact on performance and stability
DRAM TRRD: 3
Rank Write to Read Delay: 9
Read to Precharge Delay: 7

hey dinos22 you have really a good toy for bench keep going; but im waiting my e6600 for a new wr:stick: the time will show:p:
now i'm with my new e6300:
these are my results with my stupid twinmos 533mhz cl5 rams:slapass:
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/3661/adsz4kf4.jpg
this score is just for fun... these scores are with intel's stupid stock fan...it's stable with 1.25v from bios with 3300mhz...the temp. is about 68C...At weekend i'll try with my new tx rams which can do with 2.4v at 1100 4-4-4-5...
good luck to all...
sorry for my bad english...
i was following xs for nearly 2 years but i've just registered.
Hi:)
hey man welcome to XS :toast:Quote:

my e6400, stepping 629B has a VID of 1.00V, but i dont think i can get close to those kind of numbers like 3.6 with such low voltage. or maybe im doing something wrong? im running them with ballistix tracer 8500s so i dont think those are holding me back. any ideas? right now- i can run 3.2 with 1.33 volts, although i havent dared to go lower...
woops nvm sry, the VID on the older version of core temp was 1.000V but on the newer version its 1.325.
