Some of you may be wondering why on earth I'm so hell bent on burning cash (right - like this is the type of forum where people are holding back on their hardware purchases :D ). The fact is that I'd saved my salary to finance the purchase and when it was two days before delivery I accidently won $3000 in a poker tournament. If I don't spend this cash wisely (i.e. hardware), my girlfriend is gonna come up with some silly idea that we need a new couch or something equally uninteresting...

So what's the verdict?

return the x1900xtx, buy a cheapo vga card until the 1950 comes out. tell your girlfriend you already spent half the money and need hte other half for bills/car payment. then buy 1950 xfire. that way youre happy and your girlfriend doesnt have ahold of your money/manhood

u could get a x1900xtx cf... they arnt that bad compared to x1950, and with good cooling, like VF900, can clock to close to the 1950 performance

I can see from your sig that you're also planning on getting a 1950. I wonder what the deal is gonna be next wednesday, when the NDA is lifted? I really really hope that you can at least get to pre-order them soon after, cuz I can't take it if it's gonna be this paper launch that brings us close to the end of september before we can get them.

well... actually, im going to change my mind and get a x1900xtx that will clock high, and a VF900... costs less than x1950 at least... about 350$ for 'em
i will see how much x1900xtx costs after x1950...

Damn, I know you're right...I know you're right. It hurts so much when you got the whole delicious setup lying on a table here and then have to wait.

Allthough, in a month I'd be kicking myself if I went with the 1900 in stead of waiting.

get a 7300gs... i saw some1 play fear on all medium settings with a overclocked 7300gs... thats probably the best low end u can get

Don't buy a 1950 master card. ATI is doing away with this whole master card business with the R600 and bridge-less crossfire from what I understand. If its possible to use an R600 with a 1950 in directx 9 games then you just screwed yourself.

u mean cord-less crossfire?
most after this will use the internal bridge crossfire
