Conroe July the 14th????

Those dates posted by BLT are general dates put out by the distributer (ingram micro) and are the same on a number of sites who just take the info and use it. I wouldn't worry about these dates... if one of the largest distributers of core duo 2s, ingram micro, is going to delay that long, chances are you won't be able to get them from somebody else significantly faster.

Those dates are merely carbon copy estimates and are not set in stone by any means. Chances are they'll ship well before those estimates, or they won't ship for anybody until those dates, one of the two.

If you are early in line in the queue, 0-50, I wouldn't worry.

Erm, ive kinda been overwhlemd by all the info on the conroe
Im visiting the us, leaving on the 30th, and before i do, i wanna pick up an e6600 for my system back home, ive got the other parts already
Now my question is that is ther even a rare possibility i can get the E6600 in stores by then (retail) or any etailer thts accepting preorders which ill recieve by the 30thh

again the BLT guy said that it would be July 24th

i'm actually waiting, because contrary to what everyone else thinks, i think there'll still be some E6600s there at a decent time for me...

Just look the Woodcrest. They were launched late in June and they just start to be shipped. I surely hope it's not the same with Conroe, but... We simply don't know.. Could be July 27, could be mid August..

Yeah, but woodcrest is a server processor, and Intel seems VERY dedicated to the Core 2 Duos.... i don't know, i'd live if i didn't get one b4 early august, so that's probably why i haven't preordered...

There is pretty good chance these processors will arive this year, until then lets speculate.
