allright, thanks for reminding me of some more lay-out mistake's
to make that all up, the board MUST be one hell of a overclocker.
still going for an asus a this point.
well, there is enough time to wait for some reviews as i'm waiting for the retail release.
because the e-sata ;)Quote:

the eSATA should be at the I/O. or do you have to connect this one with another port (like on ASrock)? or is this a shared Port?Quote:

the one under the Firewire is the eSATA
At that moment I hadn“t seen the new revision of P5WD2-E.Quote:

Both P5W DH & P5WD2-E 1.03G should be excellent for little Conroe tweaking ;)
This board looks like its going to be a killer. Look at all the sata ports :D
Hopefully Asus will make one for the conroe 2 dup chips

I don't get why you guys need so many SATA ports to be honest. I've got 2 Raptors and a 300GB drive for downloads, and that's all I've ever needed. :)
2x Raptor 73,4GB @ Raid 0Quote:

2x Barracuda 500GB @ Raid 1
1x Samsung DVD-Writer (sata)
i need only 5 ports, so 6 would be nice :)
sorry,I have a question,I had a mobo that is old p5wd2-e revision,so I can't use conroe???
I ask myself that whether I can mod to this mobo to use conroe??
welcome :wave:Quote:

there <might> be a mod soon, but I doubt it ;) the Bad Axe is moddable (oO), because Intel only made very small changes.
I like the cleanliness around the CPU socket and I wish Conroe-boards would employ the same design...but most of the boards I have seen are very crowded around the CPU socket.

Placing 775 like AM2 will almost destory the DDR-2 signal paths
That's a nice board for Conroe if they would fine tune it a bit. It needs a PCI-X added like the P5WDG2-WS. Take out one of the PCIx1 to make room and make the other PCIx8. The heatpipe routing needs to go, that's ugly like that. Is Asus planning to make a P5WDG2-WS version for SLI?Quote:

i'm in at price tag -->145$ :)
I think Asus is going overkill with all the heatpipes, seems like more for looks than functionality.
Agreed. The RD600 / X3200 CF looks better all the time.Quote:

Looks like the nFORCE chipset will be hot, as usual... even more than i975x. Seems like the RD600 chipset will be the freshest one.
Well, I'm waiting to see what the RD600 will be. But then again, the INtel board is tempting to get now...
I should have my hands on that board in a week or so here, i'll throw my conroe XE 2.93Ghz in there and post some results for you guys.Quote:
