VX is Voltage eXtreme.

The same exact G.skill chips cost $490.00. I bought 4000VX for $200 or somthing when they came out. These chips are rediculously priced. Where are the price cuts? :(

Yeah, I think memory is going to turn into like video cards, and CPU's and stuff.. I dont understand it myself.. but I thrive on being the top of the line.. so I will pay the out rageous prices, plus OCZ treats me good.

Edit: I mean paying 600 dollars for a video card, 1100 dollars for a Processor, and now paying 500 dollars for memory... LOL

Don't run them at 2.5 volts 24/7.....you guys should know by now that specialized ram is suited for high speed benching runs when you need all the speed you can get.....Don't tell me you can't or are not willing to game 24/7 at 100 MHz less with .4 less volts and lose the 5 FPS difference :p: :D

oh man if you only knew about warranty in Australia........lots of ppl resorted to sending their sticks to US for repair.......imagine the cost and length of time if they go pair shaped like old VXs were going

DDR2 is a whole new ballgame though so OCZ can only get better at it :toast: with more experience

I thought the 4000VX was good, I still had some running in another puter running 3.3v 2-2-2 250mhz.. been running for about a year now.. Im pretty impressed.

They treat me GREAT. I remeber hearing that they had some problems, but I have had NO problems at all since I've been ordering from them.

If i want 900Mhz , I go with some cheaper OCZ products like the 6400 EL.
Does 450 4-4-4 or even 4-4-3

Im sure they will run 1000 mhz w/ 2.3v not 2.5v

Im also pretty sure he means these may scale to 1100 mhz or higher I am not quiet sure yet, But the ram is garranteed to DDR2-1000 w/ 4-4-4

But the memory does run 1000 mhz @ 2.3v but has a EVP to 2.5v. Isnt that great?

I will have the memory by tuesday, or wensday.

Damn your lucky, Mine didnt come in today, but they were drop shipped from a wholesaler, next day air, should be here tomorrow. I will let you guys know what I get when I get them.
