Here's 220Mhz prime95 stable at 3dMark2001. Mem was at 6-2-2-2. Prime95 looped overnight before 3DMark was run, but I accidently closed the window before I took the pic. This was with a single stick of 256Mb HyperX 3500

I do happen to have a new XP 2100 Tbred B in the house, but it is snuggled into the daily rig I'm typing on now. I was originally going to try that chip but decided to cut the 2700 instead. I'll try it out later when I have more time (working again today....tax time....yuck).Quote:

That said, I am quite confident there will be no issues at all with the 266 CPUs...in fact...if anything...results may be even better. But, based on the fact the cutting that bridge is exactly what AMD does to get 266 CPUs, I'm strongly inclined to beleive there will be no difference in performance at all (fsb and stability wise).

I have a question for you :)
I can do all these high FSBs with the Rev1 NF7 but it is only with a few multipliers.
My Question is, can you do your 225 with all the multipliers??
Maybe you can start at the highest you can do, keep the same v-core, then start droping the the multiplier one by one and tell me if it works for you. Remember stay at the high v-core.

Well....I got your reply a bit late, so I did pent some extra time checking them out for stability. I didn't have time to do them all, but I am happy to report that all multiplers from 9 to 13.5 work flawlessly. Not a single glitch:)

Thats all I need to know. There were 2 major factors wrong with the first NF7 for me, 1 was the limit of multipliers when at high FSB and High V-core, the other was the lack of V-core. And a third I guess is the limit on the FSB, 237.
Looks like we have a winner now with the exception of fsb that only goes to 237. Yes I want more,:D I have 237 wooped on the Rev1, runs solid.
I guess I'll have to try the new NF7 soon:toast:

that fsb problem can be fixed with a simple bios update. My rev 1.2 comes tommorow I cant wait.
what bios i thought 237 was it with any of the bioses

Don't care for the serielle connectors though.
Which bios is shipping with the revision 1.2 boards and does it need to be flashed to something later? Thanks, will be running a Barton 2800+ on the beast.
The newest bios, nf715 comes installed.
I have spent the last 6 hours looking for the Abit NF7-S v1.2 !!
I only found (2) sources that would confirm the rev # in stock was 1.2 and (1) that would guarrantee I would receive v1.2 (out of a list of 36)
1. Multiwave Direct sent email confirmation that they have v1.2 in stock no mention of quantity on hand, I just got through ordering mine from there and spoke with service rep who emailed me B4 ordering and she personally pulled the v1.2 for me !!!!!!
It should be here on Wed ! I'll post again to verify but I feel real good about the order after speaking with the service rep.

2. Googlegear sent via email confirmation that they have v1.2 in stock in quantity, I spoke with a service rep and He confirmed v1.2 in stock.

Right now the most recent BIOS available only goes to 237 and that is BIOS 15.
