I love XS - just reached 14s and we already go on the next milestone, no time to loose, way to go 12s here we come :DQuote:

Great work Coolaler!
You have to keep in mind, someone using an absolutely SICK set of ram pushed pretty well is going to help the Pi time. DDR2 is getting better pretty quickly from what i've seen ;)
A bit off topic for this thread but you really need to look up what the "limited account" and the "RunAs" feature in XP can do for you, man. Your XP experience really doesn't need to be what you have described. Any virus' you get while on a limited account cannot execute itself. It would need higher privileges. Anything you need to install/execute can be done with the use of the "RunAs" feature from within the limited account. Seriously, there's no better way to use XP than that... concerning virus's/spyware etc etc... Simply do an antivirus scan before you install stuff and your set this way.Quote:

3damrk06 Cpu test at 3ghz please! :D
crazy indeed coolaler:toast: . Use maxmem before benching PI and try to run PI from virtual drive. Could be enough for that .02 to get WR.
Waow, this is getting serious, thanks a bunch for your stuff Coolaler :clap:
damn what is next
just a quick note about the regression data. it's not technically dead on for CPU core speed alone since there's no way to move the CPU clock by clock up without raising the FSB. that makes two variables. great information though, it should match real-life results very well (until people start trying to fit chips with different default multipliers, or the Conroe XE, to the graph).
:)
Really nice work coolaler! we all appreciate that :clap:
2.98Ghz ok?:DQuote:

Intel has really stuck a firecracker up the competitions hummer.
Xtremesystems, Coolaler and company, this data has been awesome lately. Jesus, it feels like we just stepped foot on Mars.

how about some more volts?
Whats the big deal with PI, what does it mean I never figured that out? I know that AMD dual core @ 3.0ghz can do 1M pi in 28-29 seconds, but in no way does it reflect its performance...whys everyone so psyched about the pi scores then? But I haven't read anything about it so I could be an idiot :D
More volts is not available at that mother board as I've understood so far..

:off: Let's not trash up a really great thread by going off topic. That discussion needs to be discussed in Computer related open discussion . There is a lot of hard work and good info so far.
Very quick.. Some companies just needed motivation. And keep up the good work Coolar :D We really appreciate it.:clap:Quote:

Do a pin mod! Maybe @ the other side of the mobo ;)

Would be a nice comparison to see the impact of the smaller L2.

Crazy scores bro! Can't wait to see what you can get if you get ahold of a XE :D
Is the 3DM05 with X1900CF at default clocks also?
Very nice as usual :toast:

Cool Results coolaler and superjob from you.
You can reach the 20k on 3dmark 05. That´s really amazing.
I have only 5k.
For those having problems loading the images or would like to view all the images in one page, I am hosting them as well here.
It's the collection of all the images that coolaler allowed me to post...
As usual, very very very nice benches!
Coolaler have u any benches with other CPU on the same HW?
Or maybe u can write some comparison between Conroe and other CPU?
It would be very nice from u :toast:
Hello Coolaler,
I appreicate all the information your have provided the community regarding Conroe. I don't know if you are able but wanted to ask if you can can run any game benchmarks?
Here are some example used as a reference only:
* Call of Duty 2
* Doom 3
* Far Cry
* Far Cry HDR Performance
* F.E.A.R. <---has a built in stress test
* Half-Life 2
* Half-Life 2: Lost Coast <---has built in stress test
* Project Snowblind
* Quake 4 <---has built in timedemo
* Serious Sam 2
* Unreal Tournament 200

Very impressive, Coolaler. Conroe is gonna be AWESOME.

Would like to see an AM3
coolaler what tool are you using to overclock or are u changing fsb in bios?
Yeah, please do a pin mod. I'm sure you wouldn't fry anything with it, and it would be fantastic to see what Convroe can do on higher volts.Quote:

Should be reasonably easy, and it would probably be the first time in a hell of a long time that someone had owned the world record using pure air, for 05.
What about some game benches especially Oblivion?
177K. Read the whole thread, brotha. :eek:

coolaler any chance you could do the 64-bit Sciencemark test? Thanks for all the results so far!

I have a question, is it true that you cant change the vcore in this mobo??
Tks :wave:
Quite true. Still too new and the bios does not support it But look how far he got without it...Quote:

Fugger mentioned in another post I think that you can disable one core in the Bios and that will mean that the one core thats running can utilize all 4MB cache for itself.
Is that posible with this motherboard ?
why don't this chip have extended mmx on it?
I made a test to see the cache impact on large, medium and small data. In my zip file (actualy it is a rar archive renamed to zip) I have 6 executable in which a square matrix of 8000*8000 (or 4000*4000 or 2000*2000 or 1000*1000 or 500*500 or 250*250) is passed by n times in 2 ways and in each pass all the elements are incremented by 1 (n is between 10 and 10240 so all the passes to have the same number of iterations):
- first time the matrix is passed line by line
- second time the matrix is passed column by column (cache line breaking - a common mistake in programming)
Time is shown in seconds and the number in the executable name represents the matrix size. Please run the tests on Conroe or Merom (at least the ones with 1000*1000 and 8000*8000 matrixes and post the results).
no option in MSI MOBO BIOSQuote:

Because he can't change the voltage. Conroe isn't out until July, the motherboards don't support all the overclocking features yet.
It's all in the thread, maybe you'd like to read it.Quote:

Today is nothing,just@3400mhz,can't run pi:(
coolaler , If you keep publishing results like you do ... I expect by the end of the month ... 12sec 1mb pi .... ;)
watching superpi 1m run must be ridiculous... I mean the loops must go like boom, boom, boom... real fast.
anyone know an official release date for e6700 or for EE?
hey charlie, you are so right ... where are the days you could at least scratch your hand while runing pi ....
I just went and bought some Intel stock. at about a 2+ year low yesterday & its about to release these BEASTS!
Now if someone can just post some work around to make my Asus P5wd2-E (975) work with Conroe, like they posted a fix for the Bad-Axe 975.
Don't forget to sell AMD short. :lol:Quote:
