MMMM, who has a DDR2 Booster? :D
The AOpen Vdim was the reason to by these DDR-2 800 Kits from Syncmax.
They are specified at DDR-2 800 @ 4-4-4-12 with 1,9 V...;)
QFT, prices in Europe suck :slapass:Quote:

Wow whole Germany is here, n1!
It really sucks that the Aopen is so expansive and not available.
I´m also sceptic that the board is really availableat the 7.
not available in asia
first available in germany
This was short dream but nice, lol
i'm sure we'll see some volt moddage going on if necessary heheheQuote:

who ever it be, it will be ;)
2,1V is enough ... atm
the mods will do the rest

Should do 1ghz @ 5-5-5-15 at 2.2v - but with proper cooling + more volts... I kinda hope for a bit more :D
vdimm mod seems no prob 4 xtreme users
:D... we only need to know what ic's on the board and were done..
Lets talk about the vcore.. what will be max on ln2 with 65nm? Dothan loved 1.9v i assume we go a step back with yonah? like 1.8v?
Whoa, never did set more than 1.60 or something like that on my Dothan :D Maybe that's the reason why I eventually didn't break 3 Ghz on air with that chip :rolleyes:Quote:

What is the difference between v1.1 and v1.2? Because I have v1.1 8000ul. I will make a wild guess and say v1.2 is supposed to be better? Although both are using the same chips.
I also got my 5400UL rev 1.5... but its rated for 3-3-2-8 would that be bad?....... its still fat body....

Ok no problem :)

Corsair:
This change is effective immediately. Parts with the revised specification will have a specification number of XMS5400v1.5.
This change was made due to a subtle change in the performance characteristics of the RAMs used to build these modules. While the XMS5400UL modules typically continue to function at the 3-2-2-8 latency setting, they will no longer pass Corsair’s rigorous qualification with those settings, and may not demonstrate long-term stabilility.
So they are worse :slapass:
actually: no .... they are still the old :D but not in corsair's eye. All 1.2 and 1.1 that still were @ corsair are spd edited (3-3-2-8 instead of 3-2-2-8) and relabled @ hs (v1.5) ...

waus-mod: Don't worry the 1.5, here it is my 5400UL 1.5 on P5WD2-E(no mod),
I think it is not bad.

The same as with non-ES. Which means 8X up to stock if I'm correct.Quote:

one question regarding the rams again :)
Since i'am an amd guy atm i want ot know how 4x512mb work. Is it same thing as on athlons (2T command) and if not will 4 sticks clock as if u use 2 ?
Last pentium was p3 450 ;)
Nope, 4x512MB works fine and clocks just as well (in fact on my p5wd2 my max benchable on the mem went up 8MHz with 4 sticks).Quote:

What's the eta for the first boards ? Dumb question time ..is the version of Superpi that people are using now multithreaded or not? If it is then it's going to get a real bashing soon. Otherwise it will be interesting for 3dmark06 results.....
Regards
Andy
Ahh, thanks for clairing that up, cause i wasn't quite sure about yonah. But I think 8x will be the lowest you will ever need. The question was more like if ES's are upwards unlocked or not ;)Quote:

also.. bragging rights? :)
often ES chips oc a bit worse than retail ones, because ES chips could be used

remember 780? all early ES chips had problems with lower multipliers + high fsb when cpu speed was over 3.2ghz or so..
780Es have probs ???
I had 100 units and never probs and the best had from me now hipro5
not too far away now.......Asus listed their offering on the site as well :)

Good morning!...in Japan:)
I must answer to several questions...

> my lappy (this is XS ) and i can't get :banana::banana::banana:gen to work at all, details please.

At least, we should know what PLL chip is used for our motherboards...
In my case, in this time, MSI's 945GT-SP has a ICS954129 PLL chip.
ClockGen-1.0.4.2 has a setting for ICS954123, and once we select it,
it's also enough for ICS954129, though PCIe&PCI clock can't be displayed
properly...so I checked in "Ignore GSB/PCI" check box...by Franck's advice:)
<img src="http://222.151.185.113/c-board/file/CG-1.0.4.2_on_ICS954129.png">
>>> how much vcore were nessecary?

Vcore is about 1.3V.
...Trust CPU-Z, at least in this case, please:)
Originally, Vcore was slightly low, 1.25V.
It's enough for SuperPI 1M running at 2.7G, but not for 8M running.
so I add just +0.05V...still within default Vcore spec range:)
>> No dual channel?
--
> It was a question... But it do has dual channel

Yeah, it's dual channel running.
I regulate amount of memory for RAM disk setting, by /MAXMEM=600.
> What PCI freq you have at 213fsb? 35.5 or 42.6?
--
I've not yet checked it, but I think that PCI clock is fixed at 33.3MHz...
I'll check it later by PC Geiger/RD2 PCI Bus Analyzer.
> What cpu cooler, active or passive?

Water cooling.
