3700+ are Sandy, right, just like Opties and FX-57. But The main difference between them and the FX is the memory controller (besides the multiplier). And that's what's giving the FX t3h 3dge :)

My San Diego 3700+ KAB7E 0547GPAW can easily get into Windows at 3200MHz on air. But it does not pass 1M yet.
Maybe I need to play more with memory settings and/or better cooling.

just tested it under phase (dod): to check coldbug:

289 > -20°
302 > -8/-9°
306 > -5/-6°

can someone with the same batch (1377677L5) confirm this?

1377677 are the best Performers with Lowvoltage like Stonkas 0547GPMW.
1377777 are good Performer with Normalvoltage.

Didn't write down the code bit before I installed the cpu, however I'm gonna take it out later today as I get back home from work as I'll be trying it at a friends house under watercooler and waterchiller, i'll make sure I check it and report it here :D.

I was reading the ol' super pi mod thread today, and everyone had wicked times on SD's with vapo.. and I'm wondering if anyone would know off the top of their head if my chip will cold bug? It's KABYE 0536 GPMW.. How would I test it to see if it'll bug? I don't know anyone with a phase change..

Maybe it will, maybe it wont. YE chips are still light years better off than 2E etc. chips.

I was thnking about getting a DFI but I'm not sure if I would really know what to do. Im too lazy to take off my hsf and look at it to see what stepping it is. I will sometime though.

Could you guys help me? How are people getting 3000mhz+? I tried to go 255x11=2805 with 1.65 volts and it willn't even boot. Wtf is wrong? Is it my motherboard? I have the evga nforce 4 Sli motherboard.

3700+ (duh)
evga nforce 4 Sli motherboard
1gb DDR400 cheap memory
evga 7800gt
480w thermaltake silent purepower (is the powersupply not good enough?)
Thats the main stuff.

Well the memory is on a divider running at 196mhz the timings are 3-3-3-8
I have the HTT multiplyer at 3 so thats not the problem. I havent tried it at 1 or 2 yet though.

Honestly, I think it's your mobo. Have you tried using ClockGen to crank the clocks within Windows?

DFI would be the quickest fix for this problem IMO.

I'm kind've dissapointed right now.. just moved up from stock to a Freezer 64 Pro, was hoping to get a bit of a gain.. nothin' though.. I tried for 3.1ghz today, but no luck, instant bluescreen (was working with clockgen).. Not sure what caused it.. Temps were not great by any means, but were not terrible.. ~40C.. Voltage was enough to be 1m pi stable (not stable lol) at 3.0.. but, I'm scared to crank them up any higher.. they were at 1.525 + 110%.. Any suggestions?

@ the amish kid: 36sec 1M spi is pretty bad at that speed i think.
i think the fault is in the memory. if its not capable of running cas 2.5 at 200mhz, then u got really to ask urself what crap u have sticked in the mobo.
for example, i managed to beat 32sec 1M spi out of a venice 3000+ 0523 with kingmax hc 2x512 @ 310 3-4-4-8 2T

Yeah I know, its kinda hard to afford all the best stuff when you are only 14. I have gotten the time down quite a bit now. It can run cas 2.5 at 200mhz just I wanted to make sure it wasnt my memory holding me back. Here's the best I can get though

dualcore. can probably go down to -20°C. You can only find out yourself.

whats your multi, because your running 311fsb, sounds like 9, drop your fsb then put it on an 11 multi, and start working back up

I'm kind of concerned with my temps actually.. Idles at 38C (23C ambient) on a Freezer 64 Pro.. I have an Ultra-D and I rotated the mounting clip on the freezer 64 so that the fan would blow horizontally as it's supposed to instead of up (from video card into psu).. However, the plastic mount that holds on the fan pushes against my memory, which I think is limiting my contact with the cpu.. this make sense to anybody? Should I rotate it back to the way it was? My temps are much higher that I saw in reviews and stuff before I got the cooler..

Edit: I rotated it.. temps are still around 38C idle.. Been running prime for a few minutes, and the load temps are only 43 - 45C.. so I guess that's not terrible.. less than 10C delta.. I wonder if it'll jump doing 3d tests, 'cause it's drawing air right off the top of my video card..

mhh, the 0547 weren't the best, but it should reach a substantial 2.8-2.9 with adequate cooling...
