:toast: I purchased these..had them for 3 dayz :toast:
Bios issues mostly with these so far..stock bios on Dfi Ultra-D...horrible
704-2BTA ok for the CPU 330...not so good for the memory
N4D623_3 CPU unknow---Memory Poonage for sure 270 no memory errors running for like 1 hour so far
At first with this bios I recieved memory erros at 270 lots....Optimized the settings...they went down to 2 each pass
Lowered the Vdimm to 2.8 they went away
Rebooted and set Vdimm to 2.7 and no errors at all
Must of been heat related...for me thats odd because i have bh5 speed prem.and I pump 3.2 w no fan..but i guess each type of chip is different
This is all with optimized settings...Ill try charlies as I go higher and have problems...
330 X 10 is my CPU max...
I want 300 on my memory..but I think thats gonna be impossible
This thread has been a ton of help thanks guys...mucho
These Infineon chips don't like higher voltage. I would say 2.7-2.8 max. What are your timings at 270mhz?
mine do best at 2.9 +0.03v ;)
Heatspreaders on these are beautiful, might just pick some up for an s754 system...

these are my new redlines/ they crap out around 280 so far. I can pass max memtest 86 with no errors at 280 1t 3-3-2-7. windows is different. I think its the mem controller. crazy thing is the video problems. ati vpu recover always comes on and screen gets all messed up. (see 2nd pic) also my pi score was slightly lower changing TRP to 2. 3-3-3-7>3-3-2-7
pretty nice sticks so far. I am still tweaking. these are redline retail pc4000
Hi, The have just climbed on these rams. The have had this problem... screened blue with reported error to psyche.sys

I got PC4000 OCZ's and they are doing 280 6-3-2-3 1T so far :) These Mushkins any better?
fyi - I just got mine the other day from Newegg. The heatspreaders on mine were defective, on one end of each set, the hs's were closed properly, so whenever you try and put a little pressure on the hs's to install your ram, the hs's would slide down off the memory chips, not allowing me to properly install the ram. I was forced to just remove them. Not sure if it's worth the effort to rma them since the sticks run fine. I haven't had a chance to oc them.Quote:

I just got these stick I have them running at 275mhz 2-4-3-5 I love them great decision to buy, also my CPU is opteron148@2950mhz prime/stable.
nice results dave, wierd timings though

I still don't see how these are that good. My Mushkin High Performance Blues with Infineon BE-5 do 258mhz @ 2.5-3-2-6 with 2.7volts. Thats SuperPI 32M and dual prime stable. I run them daily with my opty 170 at 255mhz 2.5-3-2-6 timings. The HTT is set to 280mhz with a 9/10 divider. My sticks only cost me $260.Quote:

With BE-5 your not promised those timings and what you didi is prety rare.Quote:

To bad I have to rape my X2 with voltage to get it to 2.7 but at 2.6 it only needs 1.45 volts
Forgive me If I ran 3d mark wrong (im pretty sure I did it right) I never use it but I did game a while and had no problems.
With the black XP4000 (991483) UCCC based kit, what are the lowest timings people have managed to get @ 200mhz?

capt. PM Dounger if you need your HS's replaced :)
he'll set u up!
I picked up 2 kits of the Redlines(one for me and one for a friend) and so far they seem pretty sweet. I have an naked X2 4400+ that tops out @2850 on water and my friend has a 4000+ SD that does 2.6 on air with low volts, both on DFI SLi-D's. I was alittle worried as I NEEDED 259 out of these (because of my 11 multi) to be fully satisfied as I hate mem dividers, and I made it with 6 to spare.
The amazing thing is they both top out at 265 3Dmark 2001 SE tested. His setup wont do a full pass of 2003 but play FEAR and BF2 perfectly. Have tried Doom3, Aquamark and rthdribl and they work well too.
It took a bit more than I expected to get there but I guess one night isnt so bad:) And they only other problem I had was because of my lack of experience with these new heatspreaders. When I went to remove a set form the packaging, I pulled on the bottom of the HS and upwards and they slipped upwards and one side slid over the other at the top. It lifted the bottom of the HS off the chips and I couldnt get them back together properly. I had to remoe the retention clips to get them back together without damaging them. I guess I am just used to conventional heatspreaders. Have to be more carefull.. (but they are pretty arent they!)
Well this is my first Muskin experience, and it has been a good one. Thanks Mushkin:)
Hi guys,
I am looking into these as I can't seem to find OCZ EB sticks anywhere but these are no issue on availability. Are all yields/manufacturing dates/IC dates etc the same or do batches vary? How do these compare to the OCZ EB at same timings? Better? Worse? Same?
I have been strictly an OCZ fan in the past but am willing to try something new if it does well for me. I hope Mushkin have a no hassle lifetime warranty like OCZ.
Thanks.
Mushkin has good rma service
As far as I remember they both have used CE-6's dates of 0528/0532/0546?. They both seem to absolutely max out 3D stable somewhere in 265-275MHz, even though they would show 2D stability (SPi32M/P95/etc.) at somewhat higher frequency. Some of those Rev.C based modules might reach 280MHz 5-2-3-3.0 3D stable. But that would probably be the very upper limit, that not many will ever reach.Quote:

So I should be just fine with the Mushkin over the EB if I can't get my hands on it? 265 would be ok though I would like higher. 3D stable is very important to me though so I will not get too excited over higher 2D clocks. Anyone have bum chips that wouldn't even do 265?
BTW, is it true these can scale at 2.5-3-2 at lower frequencies?
yes its true, someof the better sticks do that over 250
Wondering, in regards to the heatspreaders on this ram, has anyone been able to install/uninstall this ram on a DFI NF4 Ultra-D board if installed in a case with a Thermalright XP-120? I know my current ram is quite the tight fit and want to be sure I can get this ram installed with the heatsink mounted as I'm not going to be taking it apart just to get the memory in. Thanks.
I think it would be a nightmare. I just barely got them under a XP-90 so you might be able to but you might scratch the crap out of them while you do it.Quote:

what voltage are you useing?
on what? heh.
cpu is @ 1.475, mem @ 2.6. going higher makes no difference, and less gives errors. I've tried every setting this board offers to get over 250, but it just ain't happening.
cpu @ 300x10, 166 divider
3-3-2-8-7-15-2-2-2-2-3120
8.0ns
5.0ns
16/7 bypass
8/3 drive
16 idle disabled
got asus sli, gigabyte sli, sli-d as well, same max mem speeds on all boards. same with venice and a regualr sandiego as well, although the venice gives more bandwidth
most people use 2.8v on this mem it made a huge difference for me.
sure, but not in my case. I can get 265 stable in 2d no problem, but the ram will not handle a large load, it seems. cpu dropped down in speed makes no difference either, and differnt refresh rates will either lenthen or shorten the stability only, or simply cause no boot, of course.
I can fit these under XP-120 and gigabyte board, if that makes any diff. Not sure about teh DFI but would imagine it's similar. It's tight, but easily doable
i'm using the fatality cpu cooler atm(just popped off the Tt typhoon yesterday)...no clearance issues on either DFI...SLi or rdx. i've tried 4 boards and 3 cpu's...all in all i'm a bit upset becasue this was the most expensive ram there is locally, but it does as advertized, so no complaints from me. running the 180 divider would been nice tho...
I am using these sticks also in my home computer. I can get them up to 265 mhz in 2d but above 258 is a no go for 3d applications with this ram. Actually I am a bit disappointed with them. I expect much better results when paying a premium amount of money. I use 8/3 8/2, 8/1 strengths with my expert board. Tref of 3072-4708. 3-7-14-3-2-8-2-2-2-3 timings in a64 tweaker. I also tried 2.7 and 2.8 volts but no difference.

I just got this ram as well. The default timings were so damn loose that i didn't tweak them at all, but i'm having trouble getting them stable around 260 now. Oh sure, they'll bench at 275+, but long term i'm getting errors throughout the whoel 26x + range. Right now i'm at 255 :(. Any ideas?
best to get base tune from charlies a64 tweaker and then start tuning your tref from there. That's the most sensitive value in the bios past tuning your main and alpha timings. I run 2.8-2.93vQuote:

Absolute did you try 2.5-3-2-8 2.75v? @260. or 3-3-2-8 2.7v @260 I get no errors.
Yeah, I'm debating if I should return them. Sadly, on their website, they quote the Techpower Review where the reviewer states he's rock solid at 265mhz.Quote:

It looks like alot of people are not even stable at 260. Tomorrow Im going to have to do me a long 5 hr or more game session to make sure mine are 3d stable.
Mine are 24 hr primed, memtest86, dual spi all stable and I only ran 2 loops of 3dmark pro 2005. Gamed a bit but not enough to say its 8hr 3d stable. 260x10.
Were only guaranteed 250 out of these but the price should be a little lower if their not 3d stable over 250. If mine crap out on me @260 then Ill use my good ol 11 multi. People say its not voltage related but I get like 2 or 3 errors at 2.75-2.85v depending on cpu vcore/speed with this neo2. 2.7v is the sweet spot for my sticks. I keep my trc at 12 and dram idle timer at 16 wich probably should be holding me back a bit but its doing me just fine.
Well, seeing as they run according to their 250 specs, I doub't if any retailer will let you return them...mine wouldn't...and even if they would, you would just get another pair in return, probably from same poor batch :(Quote:

2.5-3-2-8 and what else?
Got to say these sticks are top notch. Finally got my PC back yesterday after 4 months without. Currently at 260mhz at CAS2.5. We'll see if they can do more but having this 3D stable at this speed is more than I expected with all the stories. 270mhz at CAS2.5/3 would be icing on the cake. We'll see tonight.
man those are some sweet timings! i might just jump on a pair.
Well tried 270 last night even at 3-4-4-8 and it was a no go but I didn't expect it. Still pretty sweet that they'll do 260mhz+ at CAS 2.5. I'm still playing around with my CPU as I'm at 2.7Ghz right now (300x9). We'll see if it does any more. Either way I'll probably play around with the RAM some more to see how high in the 260s it will go.

I must the best overclocker in the dam world...or not..because im some what lucky? Or is it that I try to get the best parts for my whole system and every detail is important?
This RAM ROCKS!!! u hear what i'm saying!! It ROCKS!! The timings could be a little bit better BUT I have been running 285 for like a week now dual channel...no problems..I didn't overclock it in one day..little today..then play more tommorow if there were issues but straight from the box I did 285
060305

Ps all the memory timing i got from this website I had to combine a few to get there..but just looked at the 290's Chronics was helpful and Andys
There seem to be quite a few new 2x1gb sticks coming out creating alot of hype, but does anyone know when they are coming out?
wow!! nearly 500 posts in this thread... this is some LEGENDARY memory.
and like all other legends, mine are starting to die.
how is it dying?? these are inf ce5 chips.

Dragon
Well atm i am in the middle of moving so i dont have my computer i will ina few days but i can tell you that the highest dram drive str and ddds of 3 was the best, my opty seems to like low trefs, 3.9 us 2064, i tried messing with tWR becuase i had read that was a likely culprit of 3d instability, but that dosnt seem to change anything nor did tRP going to 3, i can get into games at 285 and play for a few min then it will just hardlock and then i get all kinds of weird screen corruption, 280-281 seems 2 b my max even tho i know my CCBWE 0547 TMPW opty 175 can do more
Dragon
PS i noticed a weird and differnt corruption if i had my DQS skew value set very high with it on increase skew, it was almost like the ram was just plain trying to read to early (i tried changing trefs and other read timing but nothing else changed it like this) so i just set it to auto and it dosn't happen
If clock for clock it outperforms BH-5 there was something wrong with your timings...
i was thinking the same thing but it was just as fast for latency and faster for bandwidth at the same cpu speed and memory speed in everest, memtest and sandra, and after looking at my bh-5 timmings there is nothing wrong with them if anything they r very tight, i had that mem for a while so i have done a lot of tweaking with it, this was at 255 and a cas of 2.5 not 3 but atm they r at 37.3 NS access time in everest at timings and so on in sig
Dragon
ps. other kits by ocz with the same timings and a trp of 2 even on review sites matched bh-5 almost clock for clock
BTW, the OCZ mem i am reffering to was CE-5/6 not these Nanya IC's tbh i am not even sure that these r CE-5/6 of some kind? maybe a die shrink or a new revision since Infenion, Micron, Nanya are kinda one now? if they r CE-5/6 they don't like the same timings that most ppl have posted, that could just b my cpu/mobo, but i can't find JACK on these Nanya ic's sept that they where not made to go into dram modules, they where a specialty IC that they made, i found the data sheet on Nanya's website my ic's r NT5DS64M8CS-5T, kinda weird IMO
Dragon
