uTorrent
Utorrent is good
:d
I'm a bit-torrent man myself
Been using uTorrent since it was first released, light and fast.
Opera has a client built in, so I don't really see the need for a separate client. Then again, I download maybe six torrent per year. Slow, expensive, low-capped internet is limiting in that regard.
i also only DL torrents like 3 times a year lol. my machine does not even have a torrent application, and if i need one, i'll just use my bro's comp. his has utorrent, which is pretty discrete
utorrent ++; !!
i switched to deluge a while back and enjoy it quite a bit. you guys might want to check it out
STILL on utorrent.
Old School Bit-Torrent :)
utorrent
Uncapped now and swapped to uTorrent :)
I use utorrent for most DLs. It's great, doesn't use much memory or anything.
Azureus is amazing in its features though. It can be customized much more. I use both, depending on the need.
uTorrent without a doubt
BS propaganda like that make me think you helped write the program. Werd.
uTorrent suck balls! People who use it and spout off about it are the ones who dont know what real bandwidth and large amounts of connection really mean. I was a uTorrent user for years. I always wondered why when there are 400 active seeds, uTorrent would only connect to 7-10 and the ETA would be days/weeks!! I searched and found several torrent progs that are way better, and faster, than uTorrent.
I have been using Vuse (formerly Azureos I believe) lately. I took the Pepsi challenge between Vuse and uTorrent using the exact same torrents (3 different torrent files) and when uTorrent would connect to like 5 seeds, Vuse connected to 50+ and just screamed!! Utorrent would have an eta of a week/s and Vuse would have an ETA of a few hours.
During my pepsi challenge I had uTorrent set up for max connections AND bandwidth. I ran Vuse in its default state.
uTorrent freezes on me now on both my gaming computer and laptop.
I have since switched to tixati and its better from what I can see.
If your DL if rightous then who cares. If your stealing proprietary data then you dont care. I guess what I am saying is "whats your point. "
:D:D:D:D:rolleyes:
Its fast and kicks the balls of uTorrent into the dust. Then points and laughs at U because its slow. Says: "HAHA YOUR SLOW!"
for as much as i download ut is the one for me, but it's interesting that there are faster and better configured ones out there
so i iwll watch what the reccomendations are for the better ones and give them a shot...
thanks for the info
i guess, im normally maxing my dload and my upload cap all the time but if it wasnt i would look around
ive been thinking of changing to deluge though as its gpl and not owned by an RIAA/MPAA supporter like utorrent is (owned by bit torrent)

hmm I use uTorrent with a 24mbit download 7mbit upload connection, I haven't had any problems with it yet, but again I don't know about torrenting, uTorrent is the only client I've ever used lol :P but I'm happy happy with it ^^
utorrent its the best low on cpu and ram
Utorrentmania, never had a problem and it is xtremely secure and updated automatically.
I've used tornado and azureus but use bitlord now very easy to use with quick speeds
Leech clients, won't survive as well on real/private trackers and because of that banned. Also connection saturation happens a lot sooner. Since utorrent 2.0.3 having torrent in background is MUCH less strenous on the network unless you're running like a cisco router which can handle a billion connections. That's what it seems like to me anyway. Much less slowdown and better multi tasking.
As for self righteousness. So say one does steal proprietory info, what's the point in being "fair"? ...well, you gotta stop being a :banana::banana::banana: somewhere down the line don't ya? :p:
I use utorrent because it is the most widely supported client (windows gadgets, web interface, android apps).
I Use bitspirit since 2003-2004 probably i don't really remember.
Not sure what it's meant by best...
But the best overall is uTorrent
and for show(s) as mentioned by TorrentFreak is TED (Torrent Episode Downloader)
been there done that,
used Azureus when it was good, then it filled up with utter garbage and became :banana::banana::banana:e ad filled rubbish and became Vuze.
I come from a Linux is best demeanor, and if ya think BitTorrent, ABC, Comet, and all the other varieties are good, then you ain't seen nothing, and won't believe it until you use uTorrent. If your a fan of Facebook should = life and bad layouts, adverts, inappropriate crap, security flaws and believe in the 'it must be good cos everyone else is using it' principal, then Vuze is your program :-)
i rarely DL torrents, but when i do, i only use uTorrent because it's small and light. i hate extra junk that comes with many of these programs
the clear best is deluge.
uTorrent on Windows 7 and rtorrent/libtorrent + rutorrent on my ubuntu server.
Deluge is very easy to setup compared to rtorrent+rutorrent, but it's a matter of taste
uTorrent does not work for me anymore. It always freezes up and "does not respond". Anyone else have that problem? Also I keep getting the update popup but I tell it too and it still doesnt update...
try updating again, I had that update issue for a day then the next it worked fine.
uTorrent has gone through quite a few changes lately. It's still good, but I have to keep the max connections down or it will overload my router and choke up the internet connection.
Bittornado:D
