Computer obsessed people living with cats: coincidence or fate?
Hello,
This is quite strange: I, too, have cats.
Four command my house and a bunch of feral cats rule over my backyard.
I like cats, but living, alone, with four is way past my level of comfort. The ratio of hands to cats is far from golden: four cats and only two hands. This ratio of four cats to two hands is somewhat magical: magical in the level of contention it stirs up. Each cat constantly vies for one of my hands. Everything is competition to the cats: keyboard, books, mouse, food, ad nauseum.
Another downside is that I can never travel. There is always maintenance.
So, I'm stuck at home with my cats while they constantly vie for my attention.
I cannot jump on a plane and whimsically fly off to the U.K. or Kazakhstan because I would have to be back the very next day. Boarding them is not an option because it would probably cost as much as my globe-trotting. BTW, I believe I saw the original Harlem Globetrotters when I was really young. Maybe I didn't and happened to see them on Sesame Street: conflating reality with a PBS show filled with puppets. Does it really matter? Do they still exist? It's not worth the keystrokes to answer that question.
Right now, one of my cats is sitting on my mouse. When she leaves, another will take her place.
Cheers. :cat::toast::cat:

Hello again,
I have 2000+ raw images of my cats. All are on my RAID, but I mixed up the disks when one failed, and, now, I cannot seem to solve that complex puzzle and rebuild my array. Brilliant, eh?
I should have labeled the drives. Years of work, memories, all lost because I forgot to label my backup system.
I wish I could get both HBO and Showtime On Demand and no other channels. Unfortunately, such a cable or satellite package does not exist so I have neither cable nor a television, only a bunch of computers, a cable modem, books, and music.
Cheers. :cat::toast::cat:
