Seriously man.....I can live with the vCORE droop on the MAX3 with my 3.4E....the main thing I want is to be able to use more then 2.8vdimm.....as I'm gonna be picking up some BH-6 that does 233 1:1 2-2-2-5 with only 3.1v....and I REALLY wanna see what she'll do. ;)Quote:

Any closer to an actual availability date?
well since the max3 has 3.3v i wouldnt be to worried eh?
You're kinda missing the point here:Quote:

yea wat was ABIT thinking on that one? AI7 worked perfectly but not the 200 dollar ICG Max3. What were they thinking
yes yes twas a joke came off badly over the net though sorry my friend.
∞ respect hipro... I hope to see these make it around very soon :D
p.s. you don't mind if I quote you in my sig do you? :toast:
Yeap..........Nice sign........ :D :toast:Quote:

itll probably have more stable output then the DFI, espcially at load, but it might not really be neccesary
A very sweet touch by DFI! :banana:Quote:

Yes, that board truely is a thing of beauty....it might be just what I need to make the switch to AMD. ;)
Hey Hipro5. Would you recommend BH-5 or BH-6 for the new DFI boards? Which one can scale higher with more volts and can withstand higher volts? Sorry for being off - topic.
I can answer your question. BH-6 is 16nm bigger gate length than BH-5 (not a big deal, eh?), and otherwise identical. In the top end, BH-5 has about 10Mhz headroom over BH-6 (voltage for voltage), but BH-6 can handle slightly higher voltage. That's somewhere over 4.0vdimm, when you can't safely operate BH-5 without serious cooling anymore (no, a fan is not good enough), is when BH-6 can go higher.Quote:

For those who have asked about the DDR PCB plugin , there you go........so as to have a "whole" picture of the DDR Maximizer....... ;)
The DDR PCB is a bit "ugly" BUT it was a handmade one and NOT the final one........The final DDR PCB is BLACK........

In the below photo you can see how SLIM it is so as to fit at ANY DDR slot you wish....... ;)

looks pretty good..
maybe you could work on getting the connector a bit smaller? like floppy size?
No I don't think so .......TOO many Amperes for a smaller connector(aprox. 12A at full load 2 x 512MB Ram modules)...... :)Quote:

The way things are turning out in terms of sizes and wiring is quite nice.....and news/confirmation of black PCB will make alot of us casemodders happy. :)
:slobber: :slobber: That is good... Man, I would want one of those. As the other people have been saying, when is it being released in the countries, like the us? I'm thinking it's going to cost about $80. :)
still waiting. Although I sold my BH-5 cause i just couldnt wait and have money sitting my draw.

man hipro, you really do think of eveything, leave it to you to put a choke on the wiring... great work m8 :toast:
BTW does that BH-5 perform as well as your BH-6? seems like you use the BH-6 more.
Thanks guys........ :toast:Quote:

BH-6 256MB YES performs better than BH-5 256MB ones ........They can "hear" more aggressive settings through bios or any other program......... ;)
This DDR PCB is powered through the mainboard DDR Maximizer with 4 cables through a connector.........Then the DDR Maximizer is powered with two molexes for 2 x 512MB Ram sticks or you can power it with only one molex in case of feeding 2 x 256MB Ram sticks.......Quote:

Hipro,
Would you say BH-6 2*512mb is better than BH-5 2*512?
If you could feed them with volts then yes they are....... ;)Quote:

Best 2 x 512MB was with BH-5 ones @ 264MHz coz I ain't have 2 x 512 BH-6's....... :D
ive got 1x512 BH-6, might be interesting on the S754 plat, as its just sitting around right now, no sticks to match it with :(
does 255 3.3v pretty easy, may even go further, never tried.
hipro5, do you have a rough ETA for the DDR Maximizer?
I want more vDimm on my LanParty and am debating between getting an OCZ PowerStream with high 3.3vRail or waiting for your Maximizer and keeping my PC Power & Cooling...
If you could give a rough time frame it would make the decision easier.
Keep up the great work
Will this work on the Epox 9nda3+?
OCZ Booster kills this Board...
That's some :banana::banana::banana::banana:ty BH-5 you got there :stick:Quote:

Good question, it's actually not something I hear mentioned nearly at all.Quote:

My 2X512 Geil Ultra Dual Channel sticks with Geil memory chips love 3.5 volts. They are barely warm, almost cool to the touch.
It'd be pretty cool if someone can actually get the temps. of a RAM. It help people know what kind of cooling is appropriate for RAM.
hey im new, just found this thread, this thing looks amazing must have taken alot of work to design. great job :toast:
i pretty much know the answer to this q.....but here goes....
u wouldnt by any chance wanna sell a schematic so people could make it themselves would u?
with absolutly no resale rights or anything like that, just as a kit without the parts...or with for that matter! just think it would be cool.
again great job.
^he stated ealier in the thread that a kit wouldnt reallly be possible as there are many SMD parts.
I got it!!!
so when do i get mine and how did you get yours?
thats what I'm wondering to
:)
unseen is your with the VTT PCB ?Quote:

ahhh to be a beta tester.. :(
I feel your pain bro, sitting here waiting for this thing to come about is the worst. :(Quote:

I also have a custom VTT circuit built that will keep VTT tracking on my IC7-MAX3. Let me know if you would like any help...I will most definately be buying the final production version.

With a closed boxed and 2 x 512MB Ram sticks and about 12Ampers current , it produces @ 40*C max without any fan blowing on it.......The DDR PCB it's just a PCB and it does NOT produce any heat at all.....As I have posted before , the Maximizer is closed into an ALUMINUN box of a 1.5mm fatness which "plays" the role of a BIG heatsink..... ;)Quote:

So how long will beta testing continue before the final product will be available?
Hipro, its the first time I pay much attention to your sig, but I love it:D.
Good job my man!
Just what I was thinking....and I've not even sure when THAT was...cus things have been so hush hush and quiet over this subject that BETA testing could have technically begun a lot sooner then we think. ;)Quote:

nice work :D Though my tccd wouldn't benefit from that.
maybe becasue of cleaner voltages, but your right its mostly about the high volts this thing can provide. but since winbond is makeing BH5 again :D....
its not BH-5, it is some nice volt loving memory though :)Quote:

And do you know a good voltage regulator that has output of 3V to 4V and can handle 5A of more with an 5V in or 12V. I want to make something myself (not so good as yours) that has more voltages then the 3.3Vdimm mod
For the IC stabilizer-controler circuit I use the 12Volts line(a few milliampers) and for the output DDR Voltage I use the 5Volts line.....Quote:

thnx for the reply. My ASUS A8N-SLI also uses 5V line to feed the Vdimm with a N-channel Mosfet form APEC
just wondering if an eta is here yet? how is it going with these?
that thing is crazy! any word on how it interfaces to mod the vcore, vdimm, etc?
same as the OCZ booster far as i know, only implemented in a completley different way.
dont misunderstand though, this is a DDR maximizer, it doesnt change your vcore at all ever.
ummm There is alot of GREAT features that the Booster dosnt have. Multicompatibility, high control, more digits, front panel, VTT tracking.... And there is alot of other little things that Hipro have of better....
Thats some very nice hardware you made there Hipro  you are the true memory-wizard :worship: :worship: .
Now tell me where and how can i buy one,i have some VX and bh5 to use the Hipro-maximizer with, tell me tell me.

You have been a busy fella Hipro5. No wonder you didnt get back to my mail about me shipping a MAX3 to you for Modification.
Any chance of some links where we can buy one of your DDR Maximizers?
The very best to you!

Man that thing is craaazy. I'd lose to give it a go sometime. Hipro5 where are you? :)
Call me cynical, but this length of time for a silence doesn't seem quite right.
I really hope the fella is okay.
should someone start a "Where are you hipro5" thread?
Hmm... It's being over three weeks since he last posted here and over at thelab.gr :(
Yeah, I wonder what's up with him, too...
i hope he's ok!
I emailed him at a couple different email addresses and no response in over a week. Really hope things are ok for him. http://smly.org/smly/crossfingers.gif
No kiddin, hope he didn't get overvolted himself!!
I, for one of the Yanks, look forward to getting one of these!!
haven't heard from him either. mailed him 2 weeks ago still no response
Hipro come back!
I certainly hope nothing is wrong, i am worried about our guru...
does anyone live near him. Maybe someone near greece (is that where he's from?), or if someone knows where he's from I'll write him a letter.
Well i live in Greece and from what i know he is probably having problems with his adsl and he can not post. He 'll be back soon i guess
he is very busy these days :(
Unseen
So you know he is ok? :rehab:
