If all goes to plan this board will be here tomorrow. :) Let's see if it will clock my Trident-X to 1400 10-12-12. The rams did this twice on my MVG and will only do it again if the board has it's day. Letīs hope this board will be better.
should be no problem dude :)
What kit of ram would you guys recommend for 8GB at 2133? I want to upgrade from my 1600 Ripjaws, but there doesn't seem to be many kits at that spec listed on the supported ram list for this board so I'm not sure what the safe bet would be.

Could you bring something into the afd to oc gpu's? Something special, that can raise voltages over 1,381VGPU @ 7970's like trixx or afterburner?
Nick, is there a way to have the power and reset onboard buttons to stay lit once the board booted? Mine go off after boot. Already found out how to get the diagnostic display to stay on after boot.
I have to say i'm still on stock bios P1.00, can't find any memoryprofiles in this bios either. Are there any in this bios or do i have to flash?
So far i really like the board but i have to get used to bios and it's typical sounds. :)

Is the problem with Vcore solved in this beta bios ? (had to increase Vcore when migrating from 1.15G to 1.42A)
Moreover, is this kit compatible with the motherboard : G.Skill RipJawsZ DIMM Kit 32GB PC3-14900U CL10-11-10-30 (DDR3-1866) (F3-14900CL10Q-32GBZL) ? I have not found them in the memory support list but this list may not be upadated.
OK, thank you.
anyone tested these right now?

Flashed that latest bios and tried some.

Don't know if it's just plain luck and the sticks had a good day or that this board really is that good but i managed to run 32M at 2800 10-12-12-25 again.
Finally found out how to turn off the sound effects, the sound you hear when entering bios scared the cr@p out of me, lol. Also have the power and reset button illuminated now.
Looks like i'm getting the hang of this board by now.
Oh, btw, the board seem to be pretty awesome at 3D marks as well. :)

I canīt use psc memīs at the same mhz with new bios have trobles to run 2600 divider on psc... bbse are good!
The 1.42G bios is as stable as the 1.15G : same frequency reached with the same Vcore.
This board have power, full air!! :P

Hi, have the board and I can't wait for the other components. I noticed that the MOS cooler does not touch the chokes. Do they get normally hot (the chokes)?
I am wondering should I remove the whole cooler before I install the WC rig or there will be no difference?
I use G.SKill Trident 2000mhz cl 9-9-9-24, that old 3x2gb kitīs..... with 1,87v
Hi , i was trying to get more than 1.92v on my Z77 OC Formula , no matter LLC or v.core selected over 1.92v vcore it remains always in 1.92v no more i could get eventhought i dial 1.96v in bios , how to pass over 1.92v vcore ? using latest beta bios 1.42g. Any help or guidance will be apretiated.

My new beauty...2666 without voltage increasing!
http://www.abload.de/thumb/32mcsk5a.jpg
^Asus P67???
^^And 2666? Wrong screenshot maybe??
No...i bought it just from another guy in our forumdeluxx! I'll get it Friday!
What do you mean, the CPU? Or the ram?
probably the ram
I'm running the 1.15g right now, is the 1.42g worth switching to? I've been having random issues where my 2600 tridentx work fine and then all of a sudden i keep getting code 55. Clr cmos, doesn't even help and the everything was pretty much at default setup. I was just installing os and testing new 12.11 drivers. Then swapped to some bbse and booted right up.
When Splave and I were in Taiwan for MOA recently, we had the opportunity to visit Asrock's facility and bench with Nick for a bit. Vivi and some of the other oc'ers from around the world were there, and I think we were all equally impressed with the z77 Formula. Nick let me take one home, and I poured a little 2d with it last night. Keep in mind my chip is pretty crappy, but the board overclocks effortlessly, is very efficientAttachment 130827Attachment 130826...and with him for tech support, its hard to go wrong.
^Then what do you mena by 2666 without voltage increasing? Running the rams at 2666 at default Vtt and Vccsa? That's not that special, the Vcore in the screen is much more special, looks like an awesome cpu!
I know! It is benchable under water with 5200 at the current owner...I'll let the beauty screem to maybe 5250 or even higher!
My old cpu's all need higher vtt and imc to pass 2666
And this beauty I'm selling:

Hey everyone.
I would really appreciate some input on my current OC.
Asrock Z77 OC Formula
i7 2700k
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB), DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
My voltage OFFSET is -0.0015v
Voltage: 1.312v - 1.320v
Core Speed: 4692.0 MHz
Bus Speed: 102.0 MHz
Temps after hours of Prime 95 testing are around 69C - 75C and max out at 78C ( I'm using the Noctua NH-D14, but I think I applied a bit too much paste)
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...BenchContd.png
Are my voltage and temps considered high or are they normal?
I've been running Prime 95 for over 10 hours now and am pretty sure this is stable.
Im a little uncomfortable with these temps. I'm looking for something that's safe to keep for daily use.
under 80c looks good to me mate
the board is easy pie on ln2 :) loooooove the rapid oc. lightweight and can open even on the bleeding edge of stability.

Awesome run Splave:up:
Is that 3226?
^ ES E1 :P good for 1m/32m/pf...my 3226 with the nice imc will run 4core 3d 6612mhz :D
^Didn't see the "ES" on your cpuz:)
My good ES E1 now stuck on code 3b probly imc already a goner:(
I will play with this board soon:)
ran some 32m the last 2 days :) had a blast.

Will have to reevaluate where my ram will go at 2500mhz or switch it up to bbse...seems to be limit of IMC. 100bclk and 2600mhz mem divider = 23 XD
Efficiency is nice at 2500, would be so epic 2650+
Single core 32m was sure a new experience as well. :P Board still lives so will keep pushing.
Looks great Splave, congrats .......might have to snag me one of these boards ....... :wasntme:

1. Improve USB compatibility.
2. Improve overclock ability.
3. Modify BIOS sound effect.
@nick
Is this advisable?
I would like to thank you nickshih for all the awesome work on this board. It simply rocks any chip you throw at it and produces new limits yet seen with other boards. Last night I was testing a 2700K Sandy and was able to reach 5500mhz stable within just a couple minutes, almost too easy. All I can say is Asus and Gig better get there act together real fast as this board has the makings of a true killer. P1.6 works excellent by the way. I got two more Ivy chips coming in this week for some better tests which I will post up perhaps this weekend but so far this board totally rocks.
Hola NickyBoy you got PM bro , awaiting an answer , thank you my friend , appretiated a lot.

Got it NickyBoy , thank you my Team PURE Brother ! Appretiated.

After upgrading to 1.6 through the internet option in UEFFI, all my OC profiles were lost. I think the situation was the same the previous time I update the UEFFI from the internet. Am I doing something wrong, or is it normal your OC profiles to get wiped at UEFFI update?
it is normal that the profiles are gone with bios update
some played with dice

is there any way to solder up a "slow-mode" switch like on MVF/MVE ("LN2" switch on UP7) ???
this is the one feature that i use a lot on the z77 ROG boards that is not on this board. Any ideas?
Board is strong just that needed to loosen the 3rd timings for LinX...

After the update to 1.6 my OC is gone :(. The board is failing to boot in anything else than default, stopping at code 15. Before I stabilized my Sandy 4.7@1.39 but now I can not move beyond the turbo multiplier 32 (I have an early ES sample) I tried to change the multiplier from Windows, but it seems it is not working, only the voltage settings seems to work. From the book code 15 means early NB initialization. I tried "cure" the problem with more voltage (VTT, VCH, etc to 1.3) but it doesn't seem to help. The memory is on default.
From quick search the code 15 is supposed to be related to cold boot problem? So any suggestions or I just fried my CPU?
Is it safe to downgrade the UEFFI to previous version where it was working?
EDIT:
I am back to version 1.42L and crunching at 4.7@1.39. The newest UEFI obviously didn't work for me, but I am not as extreme as you guys to need it at first place :p:

your cpu is golden....
@ emertX
that sucker is golden, put it under cold and I am sure it will shine.
First weekend in december...I'll try to give her 7GHZ!
Maybe I have that luck! But I'll be lucky to see 6,6GHz 3D! 4/8
That is a killa chip, make one for me.:D
Awesome chip emertX:up:
Don't torture it with those stress tests too much before you take 'em cold:)
Nope...just one run for showing its potential!
It is at 4ghz at 0.93v for 24/7.
I will bench it on cold in december!
