hello guys, i know it's a 'bit' late to post, but i need your help! :(
i've bought the 530W Fortron in July (2004) from eBay. (we don't have it in Israel) & i never used to get the PSU work, last month i've tried to use, but NO GO!
the whole system, worked for 3 days, & then one day i back home turning the monitor ON, but no go! the weird part is, the NB fan/VGA fan/PSU fans/CPU fan were spinning, though very very SLOW, while the PC is DEAD!
of course, the MoBo said good-bye :( & i got a replacement. (NF7-S rev2.0/Radeon 9800PRO)
now, when i try to use the PSU, the system won't go up at all!
i used a multimeter to verify voltages on each rail, & here is what i'm getting:
> +12.0v rail gives +11.3v without connecting any device, while i do get +12.05v if i 'load' it. (i load it via connecting 6 old HDD's :D)
> if i adjust the +12.0v rail on IDLE to +12.0v, when i connect the HDD's back, i do get +12.7v!!
any help?!

+3.3v is +3.34v (no problems)
+5.0v is out of spec, since the +12.0v pot adjusts both +12.0v & +5.0v ;) ~5.7v

Fortron 530w PSU's need a load or they wont show the correct voltage.

Any other mods for the Fortron 530???

Im not STEvil but yes its true..if u dont have a load on it the rails will be lower then they are..and that can cause a problem when u hook it up to your rig, what i did was put a few old 10k rpm scsi hdd's on it,plug in a old slot 1 mobo with cpu and vid, then i got to tweaking :)
