Yea, but I think one went pear-shaped on him... he's waiting for his "care package".

People that received already should post more pics :)
Need pics for sure! i cant wait for my "care package"
after ordering my PSU i only have $80 unpaid balance left on my CC, with a $600 check coming in next friday. i will probably be ordering my pump rad and block over the weekend, but unless my work schedule is different this week i wont be able to play with anything until sunday afternoon. will post pics when i do my whole build log. hopefully my week goes well enough that i can toss 2 full cover HD5870 blocks on as well
sick, so i made twice as much in commission today as i was hoping, definitely ordering those blocks this week
Definatly going to get one of these
it would look great in my danger den Double wide 21 case thats on its way
Any updates Frozen?
I got mine and it works great. I only have two issue with it really, both are minor
1) The top plug has little to no room for the water to be poured into the reservoir because the CCFL tube is right under it. They're both centered and there's probably 2mm at the MOST between the bottom of the hole and the top of the CCFL tube. I tried filling the reservoir (had a compression fitting on top of the res, connected with a tube to my top fillport) and only a tiny amount of water went it before it was backed up. The res is empty, but the tube above the fillhole is filled with water. So to fill it up, I had to get rid of that whole thing, use a tiny screw to move the CCFL tube out of the way, and use a squirter to get water in there. Very annoying when trying to fill it up. Will be less annoying now that I have to only top it up, but I can't use my fillport anymore, I have to remove the side panel and use the same method..
2) There's a lot of bubbles that build up in the reservoir if you fill it up to the top since the inlet and outlet are both at the bottom so in effect, most of the reservoir never gets any flow. Thinking back, it would be better to ask for the inlet to be at the top and the outlet at the bottom
So your CCFL isn't like RIGHT under the fill hole? Is it further down or is it not centered right under it?
Also, is my Accelero S1 in the mail yet? :D
Which fitting did you use on top of the hole?
Lucky people where is your pictures. Still waiting for mine to ship out.
Yours will be finished and going out this weekend.
You may have gotten a longer ccfl tube than usual. I cut them all myself to length, and sometimes I just use different ones I have around. I typically fill them when testing with a funnel with a small tip and angle it. I can usually fill a reservoir in like 15 seconds.
As for the bubbles, there is really nothing you can do about this. Unfortunately the spirals attract bubbles, and an aeration tube is out of the question. Maybe a spiral aeration tube is in store for the future though.
Expect 4 weeks. Blue cast acrylic is on back order from the plastics supplier. I only have enough blue to finish up orders prior to that.
Yours will be going out this weekend as well. I have taken the initiative to use some savings to really stock up on materials. As to cut wait times down for the future.
Update
I wanted everyone to know I am still doing reservoirs for people. I only had posted on OCN that was taking a break from orders to get caught up.
I am in the process of turning my basement into a workshop. I am getting all new tools and machines, stocking up on supplies, new powder coating hardware, etc.
So, more reservoirs will be made, new types of reservoirs will be made. I'm getting a laser cutter in a month or so, to make my own parts and do custom cutting for people here on XS and beyond.
I have powder coating down really well now as well, so I am open to doing small parts...coated waterblock mounts look epic FYI :D
The bubbles on the spirals are working themselves out slowly though. So thats a plus :)
Hey frozenQ! great to hear that you are moving forward so quickly!, how long till i see mine? :D last thing i need in order to be able to start up my computer!
Good to hear alex. I love mine :)

Nice pic Armitage... tks for posting.
I am still here ;) waiting for some love . . .
hey. update on my rig since there's still people who want to see my dual color res up and running. my water loop funds sort of got re allocated to my copy of windows 7 and my Enermax Revolution 85+ since my CM Real Power Pro 750 wasnt adequate for my dual 5870s. im debating whether i should finish it this week when i get paid or get a 256GB Patriot Torqx so i can install windows 7 with an upgrade install (image disk so i actually have enough SPACE for upgrade install vs 150gb vraptor, repair, run upgrade of win7 pro over vista business, win), but the fry's i work at is out of stock and the spastic supervisor over at campbell store never transfered the ones i requested last sunday.............. guess i may just get it off newegg, but it would be nice if i could find em for a better price elsewhere. i dont care which indilinx drive it is so long as it's 250/256gb capacity since this is a capacity upgrade as well as a speed upgrade over my 150gb velociraptor, which i plan to transition to being a backup image of my OS partition lol
sorry i was a little drunk when i wrote that last night:ROTF:. basically, i havent been buying my pump, rad, and block, because i spent the money on a PSU, video cards, and windows 7, and now i need a bigger boot drive, so im gonna get a 256Gb indilinx based SSD, which is gonna cost me a week and a halfs pay. i might be able to order the parts finally next week, but i havent had as much time to tinker as of late due to working full time now, so pushing it up to the busiest months of the year may be easier in the long run for me
Price on these must be scary-crazy....
Indilinx refers to the controller... from what I remember, they make decent ones... as opposed to the older jmicron ones that were less than steller.
http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=736
if you really need to know about why the indilinx drives are so great, you gotta read these 4 articles by anand, in order. you will get the point after the first 2 but the 3rd is also really great and the 4th gives you the most up to date info on the state of the market

Anyone hear anything yet? i really need this reservoir soon, or im going to go insane. its the only thing holding back my computer from being operational..
I didn't get any information either, hope I can finish the build before COD 6 comes out.
@Armitage: Post us a night pic bro. :rocker:
Did you not get yours? I sent it like a month ago... :(
Check your pm's
Check your pm's as well.
Check your pm's as well as well.
Agreed! Got your pic up on the gallery on my site already though.
Still waiting for mine as well. Please PM when it gets shipped. Thanks!

Any news yet?
Mine suppose to be here yestersday but did not, still waiting
FrozenQ said he sent off all of the reservoirs over the weekend... has anyone recieved confirmation or a tracking number?
Mine was about a month late and arrived with a slow leak and the light off kilter. I suspect it was jarred loose in transit.
For the time being I'm running that PC with a paper towel under the res, but next time I do a tear-down I will be re-adjusting the light and fixing the leak.
Overall the effect of the res is quite stunning and I'd say it was worth the wait. Not sure if I'd recommend it to someone who isn't "DIY adept" since it required some work out of the box to get it working right...
Here's an unboxing video:

Im sooooooooooooo JEALOUS!
He PM'd me when my 1st two shipped out via USPS, (don't know if tracking is an option with them). They arrived about 4-5 days later, (yesterday), and seemed to be in good shape overall. There's a lot of plastic debris on the inside of both though, probably left over from drilling the ports, so I'll have to rinse them out well. Not a big deal since I'd be doing that anyways, I guess. I must say, they look quite beautiful... worth the wait in my opinion. I'll post pics as soon as I can light 'em up... I didn't get the switches or inverters with mine. I'm hoping they show up with the two RCX reses I have on the way.
@Linus: Thanks for the vids man, very nice.
Edit: Happy Thanksgiving everybody....well, all you US everybodys anyways. :)
I received mine the day before yesterday just like he promisse me, i was visiting USA so i had to receive it in a especific date because if i dont i wouldnt be able to pick up in a friends house and then would have to ask for international shipping.
I have to say it was above my expectations, i didnt test yet but it is very well made.
Im just happy :)
Tks Frozen..
Can anyone confirm if they recieved barbs with their reservoir? i cant seem to find more of my 1/2" and i need to know if i should order more....
no barbs
CRAP! fine, ill order more!
Frozen q you got a pm !!!
Anyone has his email?
Or knows where he bougth that middle thing that looks like Dna ?
Thanks a lot
Cheers
I have a question. Would it be cheaper to just mould a hollow PVC tube into the helix shape and then freeze it (if you spray it or dip it in a certail chemical it goes rock hard) then fill it with the UV reactive liquid of your choice?
Or even use these? http://www.eurotekmarketing.com/plastic/flex.html
Oh I am to I love the look of it :D Just thinking of cutting cost, but I agree I'm not sure how different the alternatives will look :/
im not sure... im happy with it... you can ask him!
ok well, you didn't read through all of it. He buys Flourescent Acrylic rods, and bends and shapes them himself. And chances are if you look on google, you will find whichever store he used pretty damn easily.
He answered it you just refused to read and comprehend it.
HE DOES NOT BUY HELIX ACRYLIC CAST.

thanks for the support darth!! still waiting on my res though....
Alright guys, I think I finally did it, I got all the orders out...successfully!
Except for you Aphellyon...still owe you two RCX's, but I ran out of the damn smoke gray anod paint.
Thank you all for being so patient with this. I'm finally ahead, and have a good stock of things along with all brand new tools. Reservoirs should come out much quicker now.
My dad and I just finished putting in a small shop in the basement. Complete with a 13 foot workbench with a new band saw, drill press, buffing wheel, 4" belt sander, table router, an 8 foot assembly workbench, a 10" table saw to the side, and of course...a 32" LCD TV with a new PS3 = )
Mine is on the way wa hahahaha
Yep they are.
Guess whats here?!?!?!
These will be up on my web shop within an hour or two! I have 12 pair of green, 6 pair of blue, 6 pair of red, and then another 6 pair of both red and blue coming in this week.

Doh!... LCD/PS3 does not equal productivity booster. Trust me, I know this from personal experience. :D
I received all the mounts and plugs for all four reses with the t-virus shipment, but no switches or inverters. Will these, (for all four reses), be included with the RCX's shipment? Also, I wanted to check and make sure the RCX ones were coming with side ports. Both t-virus ones had 'em, though I only ordered it for the RCX ones... just wanted to make sure there wasn't a mix up that would result in RCX reses with bottom ports only.
Thanks
Edit: Nice res mounts with the colored plex.... you should post 'em in Eddy's res mount thread.
Yeah, wonder what are the price too. I'd take two pair of blue ones if the price is in my range right now.(saving for a murdermod right now) :)
I did send yours already. I'll PM you the tracking as soon as I get back tonight.
They are $10 a pair.
And yes, def not a productivity booster but, hey...I'll still be working my ass off...
Okay I am taking two blue pair, I will sent u the money on paypal when I get home today.
I'll be doing the same for a red pair... How much will shipping be? Can't be THAT much can it??
Guess what came in the mail today :) first time USPS deliver and I am acturally home.

Package for me?
Love the look. How heavy is this unit?
I was planning on mounting an EK RES vertically above an EK D5 TOP where the EK D5 TOP inlet would sit underneath the RES so that that RES essentially sits on top of the EK D5 TOP. The connection point between the vertically mounted RES and the EK D5 TOP would be a male to male BP adapter.
|| <- BP bard fitting
|---| <- RES

Would this work or would the FQ res be too heavy? I would not be using RES clips to mount the RES to anything.
Thanks.
It's little bit heavier than a same size EK. But I don't think weight it's the issue for your design. But have u see the picture mine, those wires for the light do come out from bottom center which means even you have your hole on the bottom u won't be able to let the res sit on the pump in the middle, that would be an issue.
Some more pictures, still testing.

O, you got them, nice Kanzy.
Great looking reses man.
not to be a jerk or anything, but I still havent recieved mine yet and its been since JULY!!!!......it seems he is only sending them to select forum members.....im calling you out on this out...its been too long.
2 things:
1. ive been waiting since july too, and i got mine at the beginning of december. so your not the only one, ask him where it is, send him a pm...
2. dont call someone out in a post, if you have something to say, say it by pm. its the appropriate thing to do. and no he is NOT sending it to select members, he has sent them out to everyone... maybe you live farther away?
Yes, I would really appreciate it if you did keep stuff like this to PM's
And to resolve the issue, I did PM you back this afternoon. I apologize about not getting back to you sooner, but I've been spending the past few days with family while trying to get some work done in the process.
The reservoir was sent mid November. Along with several other peoples. I even posted that I sent the remaining reservoirs out. If you didn't receive yours, and this goes out to everyone else too, PM me about it asap. Don't wait over a month and then PM and get angry about it. I'll work with anyone to resolve anything. To date, I can't even get a hold of half the people I've sent reservoirs to, to confirm that they received them, so it becomes difficult to track everyone down.
Things happen, postal service loses things...
Too often recently...I can't seem to decided what carrier is better.
EDIT: I'll be on here for awhile tonight, if you have not received yours or there is a problem with yours, PM me and let me know.
got my 2 in and have to say they (Blue/Green) look great in my danger den double wide connected to two D5 pumps.
Will post pics soon, this case is massive (understatement)>
One problem. i accidently pulled out and broke one of the UV Cold cathod lights. So I need a replacement.
I sent you a PM!
So I wanted to give everyone a little detailed update on the status of my reservoirs, some pictures, and some changes I've undergone.
First off, a lot of people ask me, can I get my reservoir with side ports? Absolutely, below you will see an example of a reservoir with two lower side ports. I can do up to 4, on one side only, ie top or bottom ring.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../SidePorts.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...0/IMAG0281.jpg
Also you will probably notice how nice the end caps look compared to before. I started using a different fine belt to brush them, and I also now rout the edges to make them more uniform, and now they have a very nice and shiny appeal to them.
People are always asking about custom sizes too. I can accommodate any custom size from 100mm to 400mm.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...0/IMG_6502.jpg
I can also do custom helix colors other than my standard fluorescent colors. Black, white, purple, aqua, pink, you name it.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...IMG_6437-1.jpg
Carbon Fiber Vinyl End Caps :D
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...0/IMG_6513.jpg
A new offering, the RC CLS is pretty much just a standard reservoir, with a pair of the end caps, and a UV CCFL inside to make any fluorescent coolant glow.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...0/IMG_6518.jpg
All that aside, I ask that anyone who wants a standard 250mm Liquid Fusion, whether it be red, green, blue or amber, purchase it through an online retailer who has them in stock. At this point, while I don't want to say I can't help the XS community out, I really want to stay available to take custom orders for you guys here. So if you need side ports, a different size, multiple reservoirs, something weird, let me know and I will still be glad to help :D
Performance PCs has you on the front page. :)
I have 3 of em now but what shall I say....
First, sure these are the best looking reservoirs I've ever seen.
Maybe I just had bad luck but all 3 leaked: #1 at the screws of the helix, 2# at the tube of the uv one and the 3#...well I mounted my BP barbs (with my hand) and the bottom plate just popped off and I'm not Hulk Hogan ^^
Well fixed all with 2 components epoxy glue and no leaks anymore...but was rly a bit sad :(
You should have PM'd me I would have replaced them directly.
I'm assuming you ordered them from AT? How did that disk on the one pop off? Really easy. AT had issues with a batch doing that. And I had been doing a lot of research into how, because I had never seen any of my reservoirs pop off like that, and I have made over 450 reservoirs to date. I don't know if they were stored in an extreme temp for too long or something.
Hi,
Got mine today, blue with black, managed to grab it from highflow.nl (thx for the info btw) while they were selling it for €84 - worked out ~£75, bargain compare to the prices in UK online stores.
Quality is excellent, can't wait to finish the build now - thanks for great product FrozenQ!
BTW - Got with mine inverter & PCI bracket with a switch, didn't expect one, perhaps shop added it or is it now in the package?
http://highflow.nl/reservoirs/tube-r...reservoir.html
I just saw they are selling this on Frozen CPU now...
