no still at work... im saying they are top of the line, but an exige is an exige, its built and tweaked and used by lotus, not some other teams... lotus gets alot of care taken to them when produced... and the power plant in the F1 costs a ton more than an exige peroid.... not to mention that the only improvement to the exige in the last few years has been a few tweaks...Quote:

It maybe easier to get the power out without the rev limiter, but everyone has it and the engines now have to last 2 races which is a massive challenge, i wouldnt say it's very easy.

The point of a dream car is to ...well... dream. It's cars we can't possibly afford (except the few lucky ones) and it's mostly a great design and a great sound (ferrari doesn't have to even put a radio, the sound of the engine is enough for me)

300hp for a car with a 2,5 litere turbo+compressor engine? What are those things doing? Sleeping? you can get 250 bhp from a 2,5 liter engine... why bother with the turbo and compressor which are expensive to keep?
S4 put out way more then 300bhp :toast: it had a 1.8 engine which boast a massive 480bhp @ 8400rpm. But dont forget... it was a "Killer-B" :rolleyes:
Plus the edonis is ugly IMHO, it looks like they tried to hard to make it "cool"

I was planning on getting a A3 2.0 FSI S-line (most interesting options), i'm a fan of regular gas (not diesel). However, even if i have enough money to buy it, i can't afford the insurance (almost a third of the car per year) since i've never been insured before (driving on my dad's insurance). Plus i don't know what if i'll still be working next year or doing an additional master.
I saw that i could get the A3 for around 500€ a month without gas and insurance, gas would be something like a 100€ but insurance would be 600 or 700€!!! I could get the 3.2 quattro for around the same price but without any options, i'd rather have a smaller motor but more confort.
Only 6m gearbox available.....otherwise it's Multitronic...:(

I agree go where the money is and you see very nice car. I saw a lot of nice ar during a small visit of Switzerland (zurich), some companies are giving porsche for their executive! Monaco is amazing, in front of the casino i saw side by side a maserati, an aston martin vanquish, an enzo, some porsche, a bmw serie 6 (t was just out at the time), ... A gaillardo just passed me by. It was just :slobber: I have a few pics if you want.
In paris you can see some nice cars, not a lot of supercar though (a ferrari or a lanmborgini here and there :) ). Last saturday, i saw in an hour drive around town : 6 bmw serie, 10 Merc SL, a DB7, three maserti quattroporte, various porsche, ... Ok i was in the push parts of paris :) you don't see that kind of car all around paris, they're pretty concentrated.
However, you don't see a lot of tuned car in paris (i'm not talking about AMG or hi end tuning).

Lets take the toyota RVX-05 (the engine for the toyota F1 car) that actually has 940bhp from a 3litre V10, no turbo's...
So to be quite frank comparing a supercar to a F1 car is a bit pointless. :slap:
Yeah the 800bhp info is a couple of years old, the most powerful engine in F1 atm is reckoned to be the Honda in the BAR @ around 970bhp, with the final evolutions (maybe at the end of this season) pushing the 1000bhp mark. They max out at more like 370kph as well.

Take the Ferrari 550 for example. The road car weighs around 3900lbs and the Le mans version weighs around 2400lbs and is about 120bhp more powerful.
To anarki : fuel consumption of a formula 1 is given to be 50 liters per 100 kms.
i don't know for sure, but given the performance, it's near to nothing compared to the Veyron fuel consumption (granted...at 400 km/h maintained :p: )
Anyway (Speed record before braking at Mulsanne's corner is and will stay 432 km/h.......the old Le Mans Circuit of course....)
The Veyron would reach 450 km/h with 1200 hp's and 400 kgs less.....(so about 1400 kgs...maybe 1200-1150...without the four-Wheel drive system)
On the rain, she would have and keep the advantage...if she keeps her 4WD system....contradiction, in deed....
Tyre consumption, don't know.....but surely not the least.....
Have to read the "How To" build a Le Mans prototype...
