The P4's in the dealing room are his too. Or at least they are the property of his business, which I believe he owns. Or is a major partner in.
Victor is a pretty private individual. He has done well in life, but he likes to give a lot back. However, he wouldn't have posted these pics if he didn't want to share them with us ( under repeated requests... :) )

I don't know what impresses me more. Whether its the sheer volume, or the attention to detail and tidyness. Not one MOBO box seems to be out of place. Complete and total order.

Pics 1, 3, and 5 were taken in the 'war room' where ambient is maintained at 20C plus or minus 2C. That room has its own dedicated 60A power line.

All rigs except those in the dealing room are connected via 5 3Com or DLink switches to the company's LAN.
There are two 8 port KVM switches in the farm. 12 other rigs are connected with monitors, keyboards, and mice and are used to monitor the rest of the farm via Remote Desktop.
The present setup took about 2 years to assemble and fine tune.

Pfft, you're the boss, just install it on the rigs and don't tell them :p: Set it to use 50-75%, and I doubt they'd even notice it. Then use a Server install and disable the Boinc manager loading on startup, and there won't even be the tell-tale notification icon :p:
Also, you said you have another 3 quads coming, for which you'd have to take down two dual Xeon rigs and one p4. Why don't you take down 3 P4 rigs, since the dual Xeons would generate more points? Unless all the P4 rigs are workstations that are being used by people? In which case you could give them a "free" upgrade :p:

if i use all of my spare parts plus some cheap psu and other stuff, i can get 4 more rigs running which includes a T7300, p4 and another quad

Unfortunately I have so much work to do that I did not get Vista installed on the 2nd new one...will hopefully do tomorrow when I am not so tired :D

The first one is a group shot and the second is the main producer.
Left to right they are
e6600 @3200 W/ stock cooler, Q6600 @3600 W/ Storm, X2 5000+ BE @3000 W/ stock 940 opteron HS.
It's good for 27-31k per day. There is a total of 8 Deltas running 24/7 and only the 140 CFM ones are under volted at all. It gets a bit noisy at times.
Hoping to add a Phenom and another quad over the summer.
Why is there a memory kit on the side of the cage? o.O
So I remember to install it tonight.:)

Thanks for the kind words, one day I hope this little garden becomes a farm. I checked it yesterday and the computer circuit (isolated) is a twenty amp and with the three servers and the a/c I was only pulling 10.5 amps. The UfO and the HP 4600DN is on the rooms regular 15a circuit. Might be time to pull another 20amper into the room. :up:

After my heart breaking hardware losses recently (namely 2 bust PSU's, plus 1 replacement PSU DOA, 2 bust Boards, and a few bust sticks of ram) I finally replaced the older shelving for bigger stuff, with extra capacity for more machines later. All Quads. Plus my everyday in the case is a Dual.
Two new addiitons are another Asus Premium (Black Pearl Edition), and a Asus DH 975X. First 975X I've had.

I think I have two IBM/Olivetti keyboards. Discussed them today at dinner with my uncle. I may only have direct access to two of them, but he has a stock of probably a dozen more. As he says--they're the best keyboards ever made. They're dang heavy--so they have never moved around my desk. I opted for the IBM keyboard on my nostalgia build, instead of the Microsoft keyboard that's sitting on top of it. I did change to an old USB Logitech optical mouse, though--but that's because the Microsoft IntelliMouse 1.0 or 1.1 has a near-dead right button. IT takes some effort to get that thing clicking properly. Right now--I have this "Mouse Systems" AT/PS2 keyboard and a Microsoft "Mouse port compatible mouse 2.0A". Yeah--I enjoy old hardware and reliable hardware. The two peripherals that I have never, ever, had a problem with are old IBM keyboards and old Microsoft mice. Just can't beat them. And people look at you like you're crazy when your components are 15 years old, or older.Quote:

yea those keyboard are great got two myself they were being thrown away at school cause no windows key. They also have a dual build in feature they are so heavy you can defend yourself with them and win against most all other objects.
So I got a quad sweet more power two more cores for me and four times the cache of my 6300 even better much more output for wcg. Oh yea that little single rad packed in that P180 was weak for that chip hmm quad no go load just killed that thing. So was thinking hmm go back to air with 120 extreme or update wc and get bigger case to fit it. Well did update watercooling part :D . Lets just say the temp are as good as the air around the computer or the pump is two slow now. Changes are two swifttech tripples 6 yateloons and 10 feet of tube :) .

Middle box is full--an XClio 188A case. I had my current rig in it before--but the Infinity refused to fit. I also swapped the 188A's front panel with the Propeller's front panel--the 188A had HD Audio up-front, so I used that panel instead of the Propeller's analog-only.

Full load with relatively crap thermal paste, at 3.447GHz with 1.45V set in the bios, about 1.41V Real, my temps are 66,64,63,64 which considering how damned quiet it is, it's not at all bad.Quote:
