Not a 900... but I had to finish this project before I could make time to get my 900 done. Antec Sonata III.

Had to steal some parts from that build to do the 300 build, which brings me to the tear down of the 900 to steal more parts. Hope to have the 900 completely stripped by tomorrow night and ready for paint by the end of the week. Might even get it back together by next Sunday.
Nice sonata Dice!
I had this case myself... and I don't want to diss DaIceMan, but I was not satisfied with this case (I'll keep the reasons to myself ;)).
Nevertheless, a nice rig... tho it isn't a 900 :D
Maybe cause it runs hotter than the gates of Hades? I love the finish, and the case is well built, but when it comes to cooling, it's DEFINITELY no 900. But, considering I paid $40 shipped for it, I don't some heat.
Sorry for the threadjack... just hope I can cable manage my 900 that well.
DaIceMan
Nice practice run. Are you gonna make holes for the 900?
oh yeah, I'm running the full mod list on it. Only thing I won't be doing right now is actually doing the slim drive mod and the custom side panel. Wire management and painting the inside is the biggiest of the list, but there are several other mods throughout the thread that I'm going to do as well.
Hey all I built my first computer in septermber and i did a real bad wiring job, and i saw this forum and decided to try my hand at wiring the antec 900. tell me what you think.

I didn't add any lights or anything cool, didnt flip the psu, but I accualy have airflow in my case now =D
Nice job and welcome to XS!
Good wiring job Solzar :) . Mine looks something like that but with some red lighting in it. I would suggest to change the red Sata cables or spray paint them, they stick out a bit too much. ^^
thanks guys. and good idea about the sata cables, i just used what i had =/ but i can go pickup a few black ones and they will blend in a bit more =D
http://store.pchcables.com excellent prices, accurate shipping, and so far awesome service. Ordered a pile of cables (extensions and SATA) last night at like 10pm... got an email at 11am saying the package had been shipped.
18" black, locking straight to right angle SATA cable, $8-9 shipped at the Egg... $3 from PCH.
EDIT: Found what I was looking for. See new post below.
I have this one bookmarked and saved...

was that it?
This is what I want to do with my Gigabyte eSATA bracket so I can hide it and save a PCI slot, thus, cleaning the case even more :D

I use the external power for a CCFL behind my monitor and under my desk... I love ambient and indirect lighting.
Thanks DaIceMan... I have not seen that pic before, but the same idea I was goin for.
Added to my want-list for my A900 to replace my Pioneer DVR-K06:
Panasonic Blu-ray UJ-215 Slimline Slot Load

OK I got my build mostly done yesterday (dang New Egg ships fast ordered Monday got it all Wednesday with the cheap shipping) pics coming soon.
I do have 1 question about my install, I went with the Tuniq Tower and so far it seems to be cooling very well. But it looks like it is kind of on the board at an angle due to the weight. I installed it only using the AM2 clip that cam with the tower...did I need to install any of the brackets on the back also...I couldn't tell if that was only for intel or not, the instructions were not great.
I pretty much just did it like this video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53uFy5pPvyw
I would always use a backplate for a bigger heavier fan cooler if one fit, as I did with my 9700LED. If you have one that fits, use it. Perhaps the guy on uTube was too lazy to pull his mb.
I would use the backplate that came with the Tuniq. It will only help.
I've had mine installed for about 9 months, with the backplate, and its been slowly saggin' forward (by maybe 1/16"). Here's what I plan to do:
Make 2 custom Tuniq support brackets, fastened to top of case:

I plan to have pics of everything up this weekend. And hope to have the wiring cleaned up a bit, I ran stuff thru the back but its still a bit messy looking. I need to redo the fan power cable, I didn't know the Antec PSU has a fan only 4 pin, and I need to plug the PSU fan relays into the mobo so I can get reading from them and hopefully be able to get them to turn off when the computer sleeps, now they keep running at full speed...but i haven't really got everything setup yet, i just wanted to get the power on last night to make sure all components worked and get the mobo bios updated to handle the am2+ chip.
