I wonder if Sparco's ETA of the 18th may have been for overseas, like Japan and the UK. They may have just posted it for the US by mistake. Cause the 18th of april and the 20th of May are really far apart!
Where did you see Update Version 1.28.5 ? I've checked on www.CPUID.com, but I can't find it :( only version 1.28 :slobber:Quote:

yeah it doesnt list it as 1.28.5 but if you download the 1.28 it is now 1.28.5.
The only thing we don't need right now is for the DFI NF4 to crap out on the venice. If so this will be worst CPU launch in history next to the Prescott.
And my DFI is straight from Newegg so I don't know how I'm going to change the BIOS if the thing doesn't POST.
Look at the first sticky :D
So what's a good capture program to capture a CPU-Z screen of my 3700+ Sandy?
Looks like a few more getting these.. Anyone able to run comparison with your old setup? As websites tend to have good results as for everyday users have so so results??
hit F5 on your keyboard and cpuz will save a BMP file in the same dir, then just use paint or any other photo editing program to save it as a PNG and upload it to the forum..Quote:

Nevermind :)
is that the default voltage?
Probably not. I'm new to this overclocking thing and had to jump through all kindsa hoops to get the BSODs to go away. Spent hours doing searches on them. Finally found a thread on OSZ's forum that had me make a bunch of changes in the BIOS. Have only had 1 BSOD since. Once I get all my programs installed so I can catch up on my backlog of paperwork for my job I'll start learning how to tweak this thing.
seems there are problems with diegos aswell as venices.
ive taken my venice out for the time being and put my winnie back in.
It's looking like my problem is more of a memory/MB problem. Quite a few people are getting the same BSODs with the DFI/OCZ combo as I am. Not too many people have the Sandy to really make that call thou.
I betcha Oskar is fixing things in a new BIOS right now 8)
Sure hope so because it isn't just OCZ memory that is having a problem with the DFI nF4 boards from what I saw.
I haven't read everything on this thread and i'm super new to this forum, but from most of the stuff I read on the net about the new amd cpu's, they won't work correctly with an older bios on the motherboard. Each motherboard company has to put out a new bios, which is suppose to be out, that supports the new features of the amd cpu's. So I would suggest you check your mobo manufacturers website for a bios update, those of you that have them and are having problems. Hope I was a little helpful.
BTW Eldonko, you have the same MB/memory combo I have. Would be interested to see how a 3700+ Sandy worked with your system.
First thing I did was install the lattest BIOS upgrade.
