Thanks Zeus.
Those are the same clocks I had my 5770's at. Based on GPU scores I'm getting ~98% scaling...they are almost equal to yours.

Very nice score Zeus, you've been busy. I wonder what's up with the Orb not allowing us to make the results public? I only get to make maybe 1 out of 5 public.:(
I saw your Cinebench 11.5 score, cracking the 8's on ambient water isn't that easy for sure. Great job.
Great single card score NCspecV81, what was your cooling?
Thanks old, your runs as of late sure have inspired me to get off my bum and do some benching. :)
I have to admit that i needed lower than normal ambient temps to get all 6 cores running at that speed but i have to say it was far from cold.
8 points cinebench 11.5 was a target, i got here but it wasn't easy. Same as 25K cinebench 10, luckily i managed to reach 26K for that bench. :)
Dumo, did you get your bioschip or is this a different board?
Long time since I posted here but I was looking closely!
Now I have improved on my old score so there is something to show and share with :)

This is about as far as it wants to go with this hardware using chilled water. I wanted 30K but I think I may need Dice to get there but I don’t have a pot so guess 30k will have to wait.

Well, this rig will put up good CPU scores in XP but XP's limit of two GPU's creates a problem for my overall score. I have two 4870x2's (4 GPU's) not two 5870's or one 5970.
This hardware has put up better CPU scores using the Crosshair III than the MSI GD70 but for whatever reason the GD70 is scoring better in the graphics tests.
Hey old, that's not too far from 30K, is it? How about some lower multi and higher fsb so you can run higher NB and higher memclock? Maybe a bit overclock on the videocards?
Good luck pushing for 30K my friend.
Almost there OT:up:
Thanks guys.
Zeus this Thuban still doesn’t want a bunch of NB and although I can clock the ram to around 1800 this rig still benches more consistently below 1800MHz. The NB may be getting a little too warm with both 4870X2’s installed ? I removed one for the bench below and the higher NB clock stuck.
I tried a lot of different settings Dumo except the magic 30K combination.
Lightman here is a run in XP at about the same CPU clock. CPU score in XP is higher but the graphics score takes a big hit.

Hmm, strange. I just did a quick test and my CPU-NB finished 06 CPU test at 3175MHz with 1.34V. I think more volts will yield slighty more speed i guess but i think it will max somewhere around or close to 3.2G.
This is with 2 videocards in place, i don't see why your 4870X2's would be any different.
From what i've seen 1090T cpu's have a stronger CPU-NB than the 1055T's but this is no guarantee of course.
Did you try higher clocks on the videocards to gain a few points?
Zeus, I had a feeling when I went offline this was going to be misunderstood.:( I was talking about the MB NB chip overheating from the first 4870x2 in PCIe slot one setting next to MB NB chip. That's the one I removed for the XP run only the GFX card in the third PCIe slot was installed. I guess I should have explained that a little better.
I have had the GFX cards clocked up as high as 810/1005 but the run always stops usually during the first test. Most of the time around 795/1001 is about the best they will do in 3D06. Funny thing is they were set at 780/980+/- during the best test score run which is down from an earlier test at the higher clocks which scored lower.
BTW this Thuban hasn't been installed in a 890 chipset MB as of yet only 790FX MBs. It's NB may fair better when paired the new chipset? I have tested this Thuban's NB in both the Crosshair III and the MSI 790fx GD70 and 3100 was a no go on both MBs regardless of the voltage used.
I do agree that a run with the CPU-NB, GFX cards and the RAM all running a very high clocks would produce a better test score. Now if I could only find a way to get all these different pieces of hardware to play well together while running as fast as they can.:)
Your Thuban is an early release OT:up:
Allright old, that made it more clear. I recall the NB chip on my CIIIF running pretty hot but that was likely due to minimal airflow over the board. Maybe an agressive fan like a delta pointed straight at the NB will help? Maybe with a little more volts to the NB.
Once you're close to a mark you need to try everything to get there, 30K would be totally sick, no doubt about that.
Perhaps you should get yourself a CIVF? :D
Yeah, week 08.
I have fans all over this thing but when the first GFX card is installed in sits over the NB chip and when that GFX card is clocked up and running a bench there is some extra heat in the MB NB area. Anyway I threw evrything at it I could think of today but nothing would stick so I'm getting ready to pull the Thuban and try another one of my older MB's. I did improve the 3D05 and 03 scores though and may post them in the MSI 790fx-GD70 thread later.
I really think I'm going to need to get the CPU colder, get better GFX cards or get a new MB to hit 30K.
At least it didn't leave me hanging with a 3D06 score of 29,99? so that I would kill some piece of hardware trying to get the last few points.:D

@theoldtimer
Oops! I missed quadCF ...
Almost 9k CPU score on water is pretty awesome though!
Given three HD5870 and slight OC you probably would crack it at that clock...
I hope you will win lottery and try my suggestion soon
