tell me what you want to see ?? :D

AFAIK, VID has shown no correlation with overclockability,,
just temps, I guess..
BTW, can you post MAX FSB for your q6600?.. thanks guys..
Got a new Q6600 from ClubIt today batch: L724B175 VID: 1.2625v OEM not retail..
Here is a quick test of two hours prime stable & its lowest vcore set in bios 1.2625v.
Just wanted to see how far it would go & still be stable without moving the voltage.
I did bump the MCH one notch was all, everything else was at stock setting except ram.
Load shot note actual vcore is only 1.19v real volts under load.
I'll do more testing later on, letting it burn in some at 3.2.

Don't agree with that. Looking at your table, volts required etc, and my own 'B' they seem about on par with the L726A's:).Quote:
Actually from what I've seen so far the A batches are outperforming the B batches, and the most consistent week for a good overclock is week 26. So look for a L726A*** quad and you have a really good chance of getting a pretty nice overclock

Here is my I didnt overclock yet thinking about it.

my room temperature was around 13 Celsius when I ran those test for houre, is my temperature ok?
My spec are Quad go stepping with thermalright 120 extreme-120fan
P35 GA DS3P
Crucial 8500 2 gig
500 HD SATA
Thermalright 8000 case
Decent vid on that chip Mario:eek:

Trying to improve my temps, have lowerd the Vcore so only time will tell how stabel its on 1,424v.
Will update later how this goes.:)

Tried 4 Ghz but my Pc would freeze after a few min. running Prime ,dont know why.

1.52v is a bit ambitious for 4ghz. Maybe a bit more voltage?Quote:

What mine personally:confused: I posted a prime run in your database earlier 3.9 ghz at 1.52v. Admittedly not a long run:)Quote:
Then you need to and look again. The A batches are requiring less voltage than yours and are running faster. Volt for volt the A's are getting higher than the B's
I did look again and you could be right, however you do seem to have B's doing prime runs at 3.6 ghz with 1.38v sat below A's doing 3.6 ghz with 1.41+ volts.
I'll admit I'm a sketchy sod, so I could be missing something. Does look like maybe some re-ordering is needed though. Yes/No?
What I will say is that the B's are inconsistent. My last L723B(same stepping) had a vid of 1.3 and was at best average.
RLM
And my 726B does 3600 1,36v and 3800 1,42v Prime stabel.
I didn't mean for this to turn into some B v A wars. It's all a bit petty isn't it?
No dis-respect CraptacularOne. I'd been thinking that we needed a Q6600 database here weeks ago, and at least you've been bothered to do that.
RLM
What are the VID's of the A and B batches ?
I think i got a A batch, but are the VID's of the A and B batches the same ?
I would to have one that have a low vid.
Witch one are the best than A or B batch ?
Well as I said with my experience of the B's you can have two of the same stepping with different vids, so it's hard to say.
RLM
My current one is 1.275 and the previous 1.300. The previous one needed 1.45v to prime 3.6ghz and this one 1.36v.

Hey guys,
I checked the driver signing for the Q6600 and it says 04/01/2004 from Microsoft. Is this what you guys have?
I looked around at Intel site for a driver for this processor but didn't find anything.
My old AMD had a driver for the processor so I assumed it worked that way with others. This is my first Intel processor.
here's my Q6600 with ABIT IP 35-E
this cheap board is not bad at all
EDIT : on stock cooling :D
