It's not really low-end, actually I think it's one of the best boards for S775, but the price is just insane. I paid 150€ for my (then) new REX. Three years ago.
It's the same for the DFI S939 boards, I'm watching them when they pop up from time to time, but I don't feel like pulling the trigger on one. ( I have one of those already of course, but I wouldn't mind having one more... :D )

MIVE won't change BCLK now, corrupt Intel Management Engine after downgrading bios from 3603 to 1901...I guess since 3603 is Ivy compatible, can't flash back without issues.
Wasted 5-6L LN2 yesterday failing at wPrime, best I could get was 4.36s which isn't the 4.23 I need. Flash bios back in hopes for efficiency gains and voila, trash for any real overclocking.

Scored some Patriot Sector 5 2x2GB DDR3-2000 CL9 on ebay today. Couldn't make out details (2000 9-9-9 or 9-11-9) either way, I think it's PSC. In the picture I think it is 9-9-9 but I'm just looking at lines and blur. Maybe this kit won't suck! :p:

ADATA rated their BBSE/PSC/Hyper all (majority, enthusiast/mid/highend kits) for 1.55v-1.75v, just like the sticks I missed on ebay were DDR3-2000 9-9-9-24 @ 1.55 - 1.75V. XPG series kits (Hyper MG/MNH-E) were 1.55-1.75v too.
If the kit you're talking about is the one I'm looking at on the i4Memory list right now (2133 10-10-10-30 2.05-2.15v) I don't think they are Hypers. This kit came out in Early Spring of 2009 and I'm guessing it's something else, HCF0, Micron GTx, very bad obscure early PSC, Nanya, Qimonda, whatever...
Here's my proof:
Andre shows 3x2GB 2000 CL7-8-7-20 "Extreme" kit, 1.55-1.75v on XS that were Hypers.
Shortly after, eva2000 posted this in the i4memory thread. His post didn't tell what model number/voltage or anything, just the series...the heatspreader.
"Rone" shortly after replied that he added all the kits listed in the thread at that time. The CL7 kit doesn't exist in the ramlist. :) The 2133 CL10 kit I also can not find in that thread or on the internet with mention of Hypers outside eva2000's post. Therefore I'm assuming (and pretty sure) Rone added the wrong kit to the ramlist.
Fair enough, I agree that 2.15V is a lot for Hypers, but did you check the labels and the XMP in Andre's thread?

The kit is just running at 2000 7-8-7, as far as I know, A-Data never had a kit rated for this speed. I've never seen a kit like Andre's in the wild either, or I'd have tried to buy it. The only other Hyper kits A-Data made were the 1866 8-8-8 kit ( which I own ) and the 2200 8-8-8 kit ( which is too expensive :D ).

Some of the older Hyper kits run happily at 2.0+ V on air. I have some Kingstons that like it as well :p

I'm back from ROG Camp, it was a perfect combination of delicious food, nice people and great hardware - to make a long story short it was great fun! :)
Asus brought a few M5Es and HD 7970s and five 3770ks. stummerwinter pretested them and chose two for LN2 testing, the other three were pretty crappy ( ~1.45V @ 5GHz 32M ). Originally some setups should have been build using all the components so everyone could try the hardware on air, but SoF and stummerwinter prepared their systems for LN2 and somehow everyone gathered around them. :D
SoF ran GTX 580 triple SLI and stummerwinter tested both CPUs from Asus under LN2, later on he switched to his personal CPU but all three were facing a CB at -120?C, so after switching CPUs, memory and PSU he had to change the board. I was pouring LN2 for SoF on his setup, and apart from some other scores he managed to set a new triple card Unigine Heaven DX9 WR. Well done Chris! :up:
After about two hours of benching SoF had to stop benching and thaw up, so I grabbed a M5E, the three CPUs that were left ( two 3770k and one 3570k ES ) and some memory that Asus brought and tested the chips for their IMC capabilities. We knew we were off to a great start after the first 3770k gave us "23" at 1200MHz. :rofl:
After switching CPUs to the second 3770k I was able to boot 1200MHz but 1300MHz ended in "55". I asked for some of SoF's memory and chose a GeIL 2400 CL11 kit which had Hynix CFR for sure. Switching the memory made booting at 1400MHz possible and also running 32M at that frequency. Trying to boot 1466MHz ended in "23" again, but I got 1449.1MHz through BCLK tuning.
The 3570k was a bit better, booting at 1400MHz was fine and I got 1452MHz through BCLK tuning. After booting at 1466MHz gave me "55" I switched memory again but even with some G.Skill 2600 CL10 with Samsung ICs I wasn't able to boot at 1466MHz. On the 1400MHz divider I got 1450MHz. Neither of the kits was able to boot at CL12. :shrug:

Due to several reasons, I just left the team I originally founded and at which I did my part on reaching global #1 a good while ago (team PC Games Hardware that was). Now I joined the team where everything started for me back in the days, XtremeSystems.
