SATA HDDs.... just dont go over 120-125 if u using sata
I have 4 of them, hmm. May i stick with the 110MHz just to be sure I don't get any problems.
GET OTU OF MY HEAD, I was thinking this not to long ago, and I have not been reading this thread.
Thanks for the info guys.
I need more cpu power :D
3700+ @ 2900mhz. Xfx 7900gt 700/875

1.55v core watercooled :woot: Won't go a mhz higher. I'm thinking about the pencil mod .... aiming for 1ghz mem
you need more vga power since my venice could reach 12k with my gigabyte 7900GT on 760+/ 930+ with venice running only 2880mhz...Quote:

check my thread:

I need more both :) But my xfx won't go above 700core with 1.55v .. Not a single mhz :(
My ram has more potential ... I need to find a good pencil :)
Hmmm weird that people's RAM cant do 900MHz. Coolbits auto detects mine to like 860Mhz.
I can do 950 without vmem mod.
Just got my evga co 7900GT tonight. Haven't done any modding of anything yet, and coolbits auto detects @ 620/890.
been artifact scanning on ati tool @ 450/950 for a little while now, no probs (just testing memory potential, not core yet.)
Hi when you all overclock you 7900GT do you all clock the 3D part only or both 3D and 2D? Thanks.:)
Hey guys, here's my new PB 2k5 and AM3.
Water cooled GPU.

GPU@743 MHz, MEM@1010 MHz

just wow :slobber: The 05 score must be near the WR.Quote:

Thanx for the reply.
I had seen the VGPU Measure point in the photos but am curious as to where to connect the black point of the multimeter. It must go to ground i think. Quite possibly it's the same point we connect d511 to but am not sure. Just don't want to damage anything. So can someone confirm that what you do to measure is connect red point of multimeter to VGPU measure and black point to ground connected to d511 ?

Any ground will do, ground on a molex, the inside of your case or a one of the points (from the black wire) coming from the power connector on the back of the card. Just make sure yout touch only the black for ground if you do ther latter.
done it, worked ! thanx ..
interestingly coolbits detects exactly the same clocks before (1.2V) and after the Vmod (1.4V)
570 core, 850 mem.
this is an XFX Extreme 520/750 stock.. I have a Zalman VF900Cu on it.

EDIT :
after the mod coolbits did not report anything different. Tried ATi Tool Beta 14 and found max core (w/o artifacts) 660 and max mem 910..
ATI Tool running for 2+ hours without artifacts. will leave it running some more and then bench with 3dmark05...
maybe my cpu will limit me in 3dmark (winchester athlon 64 3000+ @2620 Mhz (9x291) -- cannot go further)
weird stuff...
with 1.2 V core 575 mem 900 (max artifact free) 3dmark05 result 9801.
with 1.4 V core 660 mem 940 (max artifact free) 3dmark05 result 10016.
my setup is :
Athlon 64 3000+ @2.62Ghz (9x291)
2x512MB Crucial Ballistix (2.5-3-3-7) @261Mhz (180 divider)
HTT 3x291
isn't it weird that 85 mhz on core results at only 200 points diff. ? do you think it's my cpu that is causing the bottleneck ?
I was searchin for a review on this card but couldnt find it. Any 1 tried clocking these with stock cooling?
Gainward 7900GT
Stock cooling, stock volts.
560/800 (that is as far as the core will go without more volts, but the mem can probably go further.)
4300 3dm06, 17800 3dm03.
580/923 - 10075 def 1,2 no Vmod , waiting for EL-2

But memory, I hear that this is normal:
FEAR all max, 1280*960 4x_16x
570 / 1600 32-64-140 0-17-83
570 / 1800 35-64-146 0-15-85
Is this normal?
and 3d 2005
450/660 - 7900
450/920 - 8463
Has someone of you a Xpertvision 7900 GT 512MB?
I´ll get the card next week.
Anyone got phase cooling on their 7900GT ?
I tried (load temps -25 °C, idle -36 °C) and I could't get to 700 MHz on the core.
I'm doing 700 MHz on the core with stock cooling and 1.4 V.
Any idea why ?
