turn it off un plug it hit the power button to make sure all the power is dicharged from the board and set the jumper to clears for 10 seconds and then back to save plug it back in and hit the power :) if that dont work its time to RMA the board

Yep. farmer, good job on posting the pic with the red jumper. Resetting the CMOS on the DFI is a routine that will come in handy more than just a few times as you tweak your bios settings. Like farmer said, be sure to power off and unplugg the power on you play with those jumpers. You only only have to wait a little while with the jumpers on the 2-3 position. Whatever you do, don't forget to place the jumper back on the 1-2 position before you fire up the board or it will be bad times. ;)
if you still can't get it to work, maybe try the 414-1 bios, the 414-3 is a no go on both my Ultra-D.
cleared the cmos and got it to work,maybe it was my two sticks of ram causing the problem.
i put the 3800 in with one stick and it booted then when i put my other stick it went back to the infinate loop of rebooting then fine again using 1 stick.
also in cpuz it doesnt say its a venice so maybe i do need to flash my bios.

Probably not a bios issue. Is that the latest cpu-z?
I'm not sure if flashing will help recognising Venice in CPU-Z, because it already determine SSE3 and that's definitely a Venice you got there fellow.
yeah its the latest version of cpuz i have.
maybe a flash will help me get back the use of 2 sticks in dual channel tho?

yes,2 and 4.
only using slot 2 now seeing as it screws up if i use slot 4 at the same time.

my mistake i didnt have the latest version of cpuz its now showing as a venice.
