yah newegg always does that though
FX-8320 is $179.99
i expect the prices to settle once the bulldozer FX get slashed on sale
maybe some nice black friday deals for the 8150/8120....say $99?

I'll be checking TD, If I remember correctly when BD came out last year they had some promotional pricing for a couple of days.
Microcenter site is down?
Looks like it to me too.
Newegg and others tend to add on a few $$$ to price gouge those who must have the item A.S.A.P. It looks like the true Retail price for the FX-8350 without shipping, will be right around $200 from the low price U.S. Big Box stores. Add $10. for shipping or include it in the price for "Free Shipping" and you're at $210. so Newegg is bumping the FX-8350 $10. which compared to some past pricing is pretty reasonable. I'm betting the FX-8350 sell out quickly.
For those who don't know, the prices shown in AMD/Intel channel slides or materials is the Jobber price based on the purchase of 1,000 pcs. The Big Box stores buy in higher volume at lower prices than this and actually sell retail close to the Jobber price - which is tough on the smaller Biz operations...
I bit on the newegg deal. I've got some blackline mushkin 8GB 1.35v sticks, a UD5, 850w PSU, and XSPC Raystorm block with 720 pump/res and RS360 rad waiting. Hopefully it's here by the end of the week. I need a good rendering computer and I could care less about single thread, this proc is perfect for me, specially at this price.
Vishera should work well for your needs - like most people's.

power consumption while OC is very nice!
Yes , the hardware.fr 3D rendering result with Vray show a 16.7% improve at the same clock vs Zambezi... :D

I'm Not looking to derail the conversation and my post certainly should NOT do this. Since this is an AMD Vishera thread I would expect the haters/trolls to stay out and that we are free to post our opinion as in any other thread.
Power consumption and performance have both improved nicely, IMO.
looks good! nice perf bump up and lower Watt consumption.
I will get 8350! Cannt wait. Need fast memory and SSD :p
nice upgrade over phenom II 955 which I run currently
Any review tested CPU-Nb frequency impact?
Nobody so far reviewed the chip with OCed NB. But if it behaves similarly to 8150 then you won't see much of an improvement and the sweet spot is around 2.4Ghz.
What I read to time, I saw onlz one review with CPU/NB OC - 2600 MHy no more, but thez had not much good board for tweaking(990FX-UD3)
LOoks good,
power consumption is better, specially after OC, 5.1 GHz 1.5V FX-8350 has -70W comparsion with 4.9 GHz FX-8150 1.5V as example
IPC clock for clock is 5-7% better, only x87 is shi*y
FX-8320 is better than FX-8150 in performance
12V trail is lower in load with FX-8350
some improvements in real gaming (5-15% clock to clock!)
CPU/NB 2600mhz is ok ,but it just gain a little performance from stock.
For example : in 3Dsmax11 + Vray , it's just about 1%+ faster when you raise from DDR 1600/CPUNB 2.2ghz to DDR3 1866/CPUNB 2.6ghz . It's also the same when I tested with X246 encode .

Thanks,i hoped for better but rendering tests are not the best way to see cpu-nb scaling. Please test with some games like Starcraft II or Skyrim. Thanks :)
Exciting news! The fact that Techreport reluctantly recommends it speaks highly of this product...
The prices on the 6 core variants are simply amazing. I think i know what im getting for Christmas. :)
Thanks for the links.
P.S. if anyone can link 6core reviews including power usage overclocked that would be muuuuch appreciated.
but where is for $195? Newegg wants $220
The 6300 looks to be the best since it OC to 5ghz easy
I'm very happy that power consumption is improved over bulldozer. I was very skeptical seeing Trinity power consumption, which is on the same process... but reviews have proven otherwise. Power is definitely tamed and better perf/watt. I would call this a definitive 'upgrade' for Phenom II users.
FX-6300 looks to be the sweetspot! Tempted to get a solid 970 board and pair it up with one... :). Thats a lot of bang for about $200
any vendors other than Newegg so far? I'm a cheap bastard and refuse to pay sales tax (NJ resident) on Newegg in additional to early price gouging
