best thing i could think of would be to loosen everything and tighten them down one by one. obviously something isn't happy.Quote:

Is there a windows clockgen for this board?
No and it is a big problem :(Quote:

Well after last night and today (part) playing with this board i think im kinda like it, i meant im use to the high FSB with my old boards soo now with this one i have to slowdown on that dep but it runs fast i have to admit, did 41xxx on 3dmark01 wich is actually faster than the 680i i was using ( only have one 7600gt ko)
and other thing this board have is that the CPU runs a lot cooler
at the moment iam @ 401x9 3.6 @1.43V on 1066 strap
still cant hit 4g on this board , (did on the 680i) need to keep trying , is it any bios that unlock multi? that part sucks
what about setfsb?
nevermind , i just checked , they dont have it yet

You seem to be running a lot cooler than I am, a full 10 degrees - I idle at 50C, load at 57C (according to TAT). I just used the paste that was preapplied to the cooler. I do have some Arctic Silver 5 left over from a previous build; think I should clean off the original paste and try the Arctic Silver 5? I know to apply a very small amount, about the size and shape of a grain of rice.Quote:

How do you change tRC on this board ? I have Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 rated for Cas 4 (4-4-4-12) tRC 24 at 2.2 V. If I try and set this in the BIOS, I can't set tRC. In windows I get tRC 20. The computer runs in slow motion
Any one else using this memory with the board ? Machine runs fine with memory just set to Auto (Cas 5). If I start playing with the memory, I have Lock up problems on a warm boot.
Thanks!

Well I finally got my board 24hr orthos stable, as well as running multiple loops of 3d06 and PCmark05. Takes 1.45v on vcore to stabalize completely, anything less I get orthos errors around 10hrs. vmch is 1.65, and FSB is 1.45. Perhaps a little more tuning maybe raise FSB voltage and try lowering processor voltage? who knows it runs at around 60-62C TAT with my room being 85F (parents turned up the heat and my room turns into a sauna haha) so id say thats a pretty good thing.
Also Memory is 10 loops of Memtest 86+ at 3-4-4-9 2.4v pretty good performance outta them too, I should try going 3 for cas to ras and seeing how that performs. Anyone got any ideas?
I think I may reseat my tuniq and try n squeek out 5C if thats at all possible. maybe lap the IHS. 62C tat is pretty hot, though it will never reach that temp with normal usage like gaming and whatnot. So anyone else in agreement that TAT at 62C max is a good enough readout for a 24/7, Id say so, but others input is always welcome.
62c is really not too hot if you are not running 100% both cores for like 8 hours a day... Like if you do folding at home...
Vmch and vfsb are a bit high to me, it may depend on the board revision or bios... I have rev 503 bios 2333 and i dont need more than 1.3vfsb, 1.6fmch to run 3.860 MHz stable at 1.485vcore

Looks like it's time to flash back then. I cannot get my 3060 past 365 mhz on the new bios at all. All other settings are identical to yours....
Ive just replaced my RD600 with this tonight and Im having a hard time overclocking.
I cant seem to post at or above 390FSB, ill set it in the bios and reboot and it will do that Asus double boot trick which i assume is it trying to switch straps even though i havent and then it just wont post.
My settings:
Disabled C1E , EIST
Enabled Enhanced power slope
Vcore 1.45 (good upto 3.8Ghz on every other board)
vFSB 1.325
vMCH 1.525
Reference frequency tried both 266 & 333
memory frequncy tried both 533 & 677
tCL tried both 4 & 5
tRCD tried both 4 & 5
tRP tried both 4 & 5
tRASmin 11
vDimm tried 1.9 - 2.2
im on 2333 bios with a rev 505 board.
Ive tried loading defaults and staring over but its always the same result.
This is the only board from 6 that ive not got at least 3.9Ghz and after reading this thread i was hoping to get my best overclock with this board.
Is there something obvious im missing ?
Thanks
leave C1E enabled, disabled eistQuote:

My C1E is disabled, How could it help oc ?
I leave it enabled and don't notice any difference at all.:toast:Quote:

For me
Room Temp - 75F
Idle Temp - 40C
Load Temp - 55C (Orthos 24hr) 62C (TAT)
My temps went way up from when I was just feedin it 1.375, but it wasnt 100% stable (24hr is good enough for me) so 1.45 in bios finally stabalized it.
