This is the list of top points returned yesterday.
everyone go out and buy another quad so we can take on 2ch!!! :P
jebus. 10.5 and we still barely took 2nd
Wow, just wow! Nice going, team! Let's keep it up!
Woohoo!!! :) :) :)
All I can say is you guys are bad ass, I'm in it for the long haul, maybe not the gaming rig 24/7 (high electric bill from the dedicated a/c unit) but the i7 "media server" is going to be non-stop.
I'm in it for the long run too, 2 gaming systems about 20/7, work pc...when I'm at work and sossaman incoming 24/7
They'll all go 24/7 starting next friday :D until 9 may :p
yea, thats the same thing I said when I saw that we were going to break 10 mil today but I told you guys, I knew last friday, I had a vision..:D
 Thanks pal..Now if you can also teach me how to speak and read Dutch I'll owe you forever.. GAWD does that language boggle my mind!:D
I'm already trying to teach my girlfriend dutch so..... I'll think about it :p
I'm thinking of asking my boss if we can do something but I haven't got a bloody clue on how to explain it to him. (I work for town : town hall, social house, library, school, fire department so lot of pc's total)
Tell them it's a small secure app that when installed downloads small files, complies them, then sends them back( thats simplified but should do)
Managed by IBM, their servers donated to this and has been running for 6 years.
Stable enough that I have machines running over a year without a reboot.
If he wants more info PM me and I'll give you my email address.
Last, if he seems stubborn( and speaks English) give me his tel number and I guarantee he'll say yes.... ( just to get off the phone)
:cheer:Well done, Movieman and the XS team!:cheer:
This is from the XS Team page at worldcommunitygrid.org

And the graph is still on the rise!
BTW, "MrKermit" is at a supercomputing centre near U Illinois donating their computing time when they don't have other work, so their daily contribution probably fluctuates wildly. MrKermit explains himself here.
I'll kick in my ~85000 pts/day on 1/5/10 for you. We don't want to let all of our fireworks off at once now, do we?
And Movieman, you brought my attention to this little push by sending me an email. I expect that a little before the end of the period, say 5th, you'll send another, with thanks/congrats, and most of all, encouraging new crunchers to stay.
if you speak french movieman ? why not ?, i still havent made my mind for the dedicated cruncher i want so much choice, 3 rig of i7 860, a crazy dual x5650, on or two 980x rig or go green and get some of those 6128 opteron in a 2socket mobo or 4 socket one.Gwa!!! so much choice too many variable to think about.
I tried to do similar a year ago, but regarding F@H. More than 50 people on a mailing list and nobody responded
And I thought that my "working environment" will understand and participate (PhD students, post docs + supervisors). Shaaaaaaame
wow, nice work guys! the team has 4x my lifetime points... in a day!
Just checked and today is looking to be another RED day!:D
45 minutes till the big

Damn road-runner your fast I kept hitting refresh but you beat me too it. I don't doubt 11 mil at all within the next 2 days. Anybody know when hypernova is making the switch over?
outstanding, let's keep this going!
Great job, team.:)
Nice! I could get used to numbers like these.
Great going, team!
The rate keeps getting better and better per day. Are you going to send out a follow up email to everyone showing the increase from before the email to now? That would be cool to see.
yes, another email to everyone on the 28th I think..
Also just checked and it looks like those nasty IBM people at the University of Illinois are ahead of us for the day by about 200,000WCG points..:D
I think our little Supercomputer attempt has made some others see what they can do and thats good, but lets spank them anyway..
It's IBM after all and we need them to stay humble!
Where are you checking Dave everything I saw we were still ahead by a slim margin.
XtremeSystems 10,853,726

I plan to run my Machine 24/7 for the challenge. this is my gaming rig so I might have to squeeze in a few rounds. I never knew about the WCG before the email I just got the other day. Thanks.
oh no, thank you
Wow, only a tad bit until 11million! Excellent execution, team:clap:

Any predictions on 12 mil MM?
Welcome everybody aboard the Xtremesystems WCG team Train, we have just leaved the station, our next stop will be Team 2ch but it will only be for a quick refill, after that next stop IBM supercomputer aka the magical 100 million ppd. Please prepare your ticket right now.
Wow! 11M I never thought I would see that.
^ priceless!
Great job guys!!! and we didn't just sneak by 11 mil, 12 Mil will fall fast and easy. ;)
12 mil tomorrow?
:woot:
Great job guys!
We're going to seriously need to pick it up for 100M ppd though! That's some serious scale there. We're talking EVERYONE. We need EVERYONE. Your brother, sister, roommates, friends... and yes your brother's roommate's friend's uncle's computer.
Remember - 6 degrees of separation. Let's use them all!
Let's pull out all the stops, try every connection you have, no matter how slim the chance the worst they can say is no.
We can do this guys! :cheer:
Love this graph.:)
Awesome work!
Have a great trip, Dave!
Sorry, I just have to.
Just had a look at boinc stats:
2010-04-22 1,511,973
Just insane boost, about a half million credits than normally.

we need 14.5milPPD to get the 100mil points in a week that [i think] we are shooting for between May 1st & May 8th... we aren't there yet but we are getting closer! i'm going to double up on my efforts again this saturday & next thursday to raise awareness. hopefully we can get more involved to reach that insane PPD number, and hold it for at least 7 days straight.
About all I can do to add more now is to stop running GPUGRID for the week......to stop it stealing cycles....that and try to get one psu working from 2 that are titsup then try out all my spare parts
Awesome work guys! Seems like only yesterday we were at 5Mil a day!
Awesome effort from everyone and a big thankyou to all the new members! :D
11,919,558 :clap::clap::clap: 12 million just around the corner :D
BTW Congrats on your 9 million mark Dave:up:
Sweet, we should blow through 12 tomorrow, what color will be next :)
I nominate orange since I haven't seen it used yet.
Orange sounds fine with me also.
We might even have to look into multi-olors. :D
Great job, team. :toast:
Uh, I 3rd the Orange motion:up:
Gotta wonder what you've been eating. :shakes:
iam wth orange to ;D
Yesterday i had a lanparty so my pc was crunshing the hole night while i was gaming on a friends computer that went to bed because he was sick so i didn't need to pay for the electricity and i had food and good games to play and i was helping the WCG so what else do you need in your life except some sexy girls :P?
Xtremesystems 11,496,676
I knew I shouldn't have ripped that Blue ray to my server, wasting valuable cpu cycles :(
Very nice. Numbers always go down on the weekend.
Nice work everyone
MM goes out of town and we all start slacking ... get your earplugs ready
Just finished up my recent goals on other projects so I am back full time on WCG w/ 2 i-920s, HT on :yepp:
Don't forget, folks, that while the numbers are often down on the weekend, that results in a build up of work pending validation. It's also normal for there to be a big rush of validations between Monday and Tuesday as various universities and offices come back online.
Good call D A, I just checked my pending validation screen and had seven full pages.
Is it humans that validate these? Or are the computers that validate them taking it easy on the weekends?
I believe same work units are given to multiple users and when the results match they are considered validated.
Unless there's a problem, it's done by computers. The timing depends on whether or not you have a "wingman" and how long it's been since they returned theirs.
If you go to your results page and click on the Result Name, you'll see if you're waiting for the wingman or not.
The team passed the six billion mark today.
