my RAM work always BH5 POOWWWAAAAAAA
You see much of a gain with the IHS off in Venice chips? im about to remove my Venice one, i saw good results with my old winnies :woot:
Yes, IHS off you can gain ~80-100Mhz if it's bad placed on CPU.Quote:

3200+ Lbble 0520cpmw - 2800 Mhz 1.640v H2o
cant say for sure since i went from a XP-90C to a G5 WB, but the best i could do on the XP-90c was 2900 and now 3000 worksQuote:

i got about 4C lower from just the IHS removal (although i only tested with the IHS on for a day, and it was a lapped IHS)
well I think Im finally getting somewhere, my 3200+ is now at 2.63ghz @ 1.55v
I hope its stable, Ive been burning in nearly every night for 3 nights now, with CPUburn-in and going the near max clock at the given voltage. Im running prime95 now, Im hoping it will be stable, its stable for super pi and all my games thus far. then again I havent been playing a whole day at this speed...so wish me luck.
its a 0518EPAW chip.
I think it had a lot to do with my memory controller parameters set in a64tweaker, I lowered the read preamble to 5ns and max async latency put up to 8x...I think doing those 2 things helped my memory stability.

well I figure my limit from here on out will be heat, Im in a shuttle box and they dont have the best cooling solutions out there, under load Im at around 47-50C reading from the actual chip diode.
Jabardo not everyone has good luck with these chips and dont forget they take a week or so to really loosen up
after four days i can now run 2.65ghz @ 1.55v friday i had to run 1.65v
my ram is holding me back and the fact that this damn neo2 has voltage issues with the venice's. reported voltages and voltages that are set in the bios are different. and its hard to find out what the real setting is unless you set it and reboot and go back into the bios to see what pc health says.
give it time it will loosen up.
One more for the list:
3000+ 0517 GPIW 2610 @ 1.7v on AIR (stock hsf)
That is Prime95/SuperPi32M stable but the temps get into the 50's..
The chip will do 2700@same voltage, haven't tried for higher since 2700 isn't stable.
Haven't seen many GPIW cpus overclocked, the ones I have seen don't do well at all, round about 2500. Mine will do that at 1.5v but it just wants more juice after that.
i'd be dropping by your local PC shop and getting some AS5 and a decent CPU cooler like TT Big Typhoon and giving it a crack...you'll easily pickup another 150MHz

Looking at water since I was going to do that with my 754 but never got round to it.
Now I have a great excuse..

i finally settle on a comfortable speed for my 3200 venice week 19th code lbble 0519bpew. i ran prime95 at 2.8Ghz for 18 hours. this chip could go higher if i have better cooling and the ambient room temp is lower. my room is too hot. i can't wait till it get cold outside and the window is open :). this cpu will prolly hit 2.9Ghz with cold weather :).
my LBBLE 0517 is still going.......*sigh*. Yubbo did u buy one?
#1 3000+ LBBLE 0519DPIW = 2500 Mhz @ 1.6V
#2 3000+ LBBLE 0519DPIW = 2550 Mhz @ 1.6V
#3 3000+ LBBLE 0519DPIW = 2600 Mhz @ 1.6V
#4 3000+ LBBLE 0519DPIW = 2700 Mhz @ 1.6V
All Prime95 stable for ~4 hours tested ( watercooling )
Will take a look on my 3200+ soon, when i get my stuff to rework my rig ;) Have to rebuild my watercooling setup.
has anyone done any extensive testing into different multipliers.
for me and my 3200 0519 LBBLE APAW and my NEO2 8x multi is crazy i can go 370mhz HTT and up. which is odd i figured 9x which is the same for a 3000 would allow me to go really nutz but its not as good as 8x
seems as if the same clock speeds on higher multipliers are more stable on 8x than 9x or 10x.
or is this simply the way they all are and i havent noticed anyone say this outright.
I'm also have big issues with 2x HTT multi. where as 2.5x allows me to go to , as i stated 370 HTT.
many times when running 2x HTT i cant even POST. but i switch to 2.5 and its fine.
I have seen this b4 with one of my 3200+ 754 clawhammers. but thought it was just a glitch.
My 0520BPMW max HTT is only ~ 285 - 290 no matter the multi or any other setting
I thought is was/is my board but still not 100% certain, only real way to find out is buy another board or CPU = no way  , I'll be happy with 2800MHz till the next socket is released :)
Hello ... :D
I just bought a 3500+ venice oem with this step :
LBBLE 0519EPBW
Do you know something about him ?
I have to do somethings to my case and wc ... then i will test the cpu ... on water :P
thanks
Guys any info on the........LBBLE 0517 APFW :) There's also an option for a LBBLE 0517 APAW. Wonder wich to get....... :p:
Buy both and I will buy the 2nd one off you :toast:
HaHaHa........ :p:
Anyone ? Anyting ?Quote:
