Just before Christmas....

I had to set the writing aside for a few days, I wasn't making progress on it as I was just staring at it and thinking. Picking it back up this weekend, want to get the overall comparison up and Specs/Install for each block published over the weekend.
Not the answer you wanted I know...
wait did i hear this correctly?
Your mom helps you build lc'd system?
Talk about one awesome mom. :ROTF:
When my mom see's me with tubing + h2o stuff, she gives me an eye and says your not starting another fish tank are you?
She has very bad memories of me and salt water fish tanks.. oh man.., was that a bigger black hole in your wallet then pc's.
Yes, that is correct. Actually it is really funny b/c any time that something happens I go, oh :banana::banana::banana: oh no the entire thing is broken. Then she is like omg I told you not to do this and then I go jk lol but seriously though hold that tube higher, rofl.
Luckily she says that she will drive up with the parts when they come in and help me build it at my apartment.
For the Danger Den block (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...0&postcount=40):
Is there an optimal port to be used as the inlet (left vs. right), or is it simply a matter of whatever is easiest for routing of the tubing?
Only the EVGA block specified Inlet and Outlet ports, all others... whatever works best for you.
Any news? :comp10:
If there is big difference in cooling performance between different inlet/outlet configurations, i'd say it might mean much more difficult serial connection for SLI/CF configurations, as 2nd and 4th card with straight SLI connections like we are used to will have flow reversed from optimal one. Not an issue in parallel connection of course.
Hurrah! Congratulations for you guys :)
Thanks! My apologies for dragging this out much longer than it should have been.
BTW, OP has been updated as well.
 :YIPPIE:
What!?! You finished it!?! LOL!
just finished reading the review. im not going to spoil anything for those who havent looked at it yet but i was very surprised how well the danger den block did :)
just read it too. Great review :)
Thank you so much Skinee!! I'm gonna post it up on a couple threads on TPU!
:toast: folks, just glad you find it useful.
I can not believe it, I actually will get to read it before my block gets here lol. Great work btw!
Just finished readying it over and wanted to check something:
When you went all TIM on the AC was there any places where you still used thermal pads. I plan to go all TIM with MX3 and want to make sure I only put it where I can and put the rest in thermal pad as needed.
I left the small pad at the front (close to the PCI bracket) near the top of the card. Aqua Computer is the only one to put a pad/TIM there. I guess you could argue about my label of 'All TIM'. :)
Now u can start preparing for the HD68xx Waterblock comparison :D
Keep up the good work
I've been trying to talk skinnee into doing a non-fullcover edition of the test. MCW80 vs. MCW60 and SW Unisink vs. stock unisink, as well as a mystery product
Hopefully he takes it on and gives himself something to do before the 6870s come out
(not that he doesn't have anything to do of course, he already has all the pump testing on the table as well as wrapping up coolant tests and his second generation of radiator tests....)
I like the idea, Vapor.
As mistery product some Koolance's gpu-210/gpu-220?
