somethingīs wrong with the 0701 bios. i was able to prime 250x15 with the nb at 2500mhz for about an hour on the 0602 bios before i got errors on two cores.
with the 0701 bios and the exact same settings the system just reboots after 15mins prime.

my cmos low batter went away, but that's after I dumped my drink in to my computer :/ and it went in to the power supply hit the video card and the physic card. Had to dry it out let is sit (thanks for the low humidity furnace lol) put it back together and 3.3 volts rail shows 3.25 volts now lol.
I ran out of thermal grease so I'm trying my idea of cooking oil it's actually working pretty good too lol ( I will get some new grease)
new bios is nice since I couldn't get 28.5 multiplier for no reason
Oh bummer ,, at least its working...Ive only done that with Beer(partyfoul):D
As far as the 0701 Bios im @ 3.55ghz//2630nb//2630ht ATM...
My keyboard dropped the first time i booted(USBKB) so i did a Clear CMOS Again ,,now everything seems to be OK at same setting i run n the 0602Bios.
Even Low latency on my ram still works..Im still trying to see what the Highest HTT i can run. For now i was making shure my Setting for 24/7 use still work, so thats a plus so far.
Will post back soon with more results.
oh and ACC still works with B3,, i dont have PHII to test with.
Note:
Maybe ACC could be used now on PHII allthough PHII is optimized with out it on M3A79-T?.

Some observations from me:
1. ACC is disabled (not even visible in BIOS) with Phenom II, both AM2 and AM3 (hint :D)
2. Somehow max selectable Vcore is 1.45V ?
3. Max htt with Phenom II 940: 320 on air 100% stable, 325 at -50°C
4. Sometimes after OC fail it has to be powered on and off several times before it posts.
We did 5741 MHz with PII 940 with this bios version, so I guess it's pretty good :D The CPU was a dud tho :(
With my 9950BE i still cant break 293HTT,, I believe its my CHip.
The cool part is that i can achieve 100mhz higher NB with higher ram and CPU HTT than the 0602 .
This Bios so much tweaked better than 0602 hands down.
ACC works with B3.
Overall 0602 to 0701:yepp:
0602 ,,,, Max Ram with 2630nb...( this screenines is with 0701 but set same as 602)

0701,,,,Wow is all i can say 100+ on my overall NB now that i thought would be impossiable .. even @ 4-4-4-15 timing and slightly higher ram clocks than above....Priceless NB on my B3.

Im seeing too some improvement with the new bios, my last 247 stable was 3.64GHz, now im at 3,75GHz and seems to be stable, as with the old bios it would been crashing all the time :)
nah.......just top notch aircooling:shocked::yepp:
1.35v idle 30c load 43c
1.45v idle 32c load 50c
1.55v idle 35c load 58c

Hmmmm you got me wondering is i can do the same with mine
i have the Zalman 9700 with 7x120mm fans
is this what you got
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233023
the HSF you got is an Xigmatec 1284EE will that fit into my case cosmos 1000
any thoughts or suggestion you can give me since were both on AIR
What do all of your CPUs idle at with the STOCK AIR COOLER? Mine idles at 40c at 3.0Ghz. I think it is time finally to get my Coolermaster Hyper 212 mounted because those temps seem way too high. BTW, this is with CPU Tweak Enabled (running cache at full power - extra heat).
not even visible? i still have the acc option in the 0701 bios and itīs still useless.
max vcore is the same as on 0602 for me.
what exactly is "oc fail"? i read about it in the manual, that u donīt need to clear cmos if u got no post after a bad oc. i tried powering on and off a few times and even unplugging the psu from the wall. but i still need to clear cmos everytime i get no post.
Okay, limitations I have found with 920 and M3A79-T Deluxe..
* Multiplier is locked (no suprise).
* NB multiplier is locket (no suprise again).
* Can't set higher VCORE then 1.500 in BIOS, this is with both 0602 and 0701 (this is a suprise).
* Can't change VCORE at all with AOD, the controller simply doesn't exist.
* ACC, while not working anyway, isn't visible in any BIOS version.
You need to DISABLE Vcore Voltage monitoring in the Bios(so you dont get Overvolt warning to allow for more volts
Also use 2.8VDD ... The max Volts for CPU and CPUNB is 1.7v and if you use ACC with B3's you can get up to 1.76v- 1.78v max ,, Mine is set @ 1.7v + 4ACC = 1.74volts under load. Im using a B3 9950. the 920/940 dosnt use ACC so wouldnt try using ACC with a new PHII CPU ATM.
NOTE:
920 or any (locked CPU )means you can only lower the Multi's not raise them,, Since that CPU is Locked. You must Raise the HTT and use lower or Max CPU multi for overclocking. Same goes for the NB:yepp:
AOD ,,i dont use for Overclocking ATM ,, It needs work to be 100% for me to even mess with it otherwise.
"Over Clock using Only the Bios for best results."
P.S. DFI's 790's allow Higher Voltages for Overclocking and are Top Notch for PHII.
gOtVoltage
That one was new. Will try that out!
VDD is at 2.8 already. I know ACC doesn't work with PII, that was what i meant. As I understand it from previous posts people with 940 can see the ACC option in BIOS, but the computer won't boot with it activated. For me it isn't there at all.Quote:

I know I can lower, running @ 13 now for example.. Sorry I wasn't more clear about that.Quote:

AOD is a piece of crap, imho.. BIOS all the way!Quote:

This is what I got at the moment:

Link is ok, the file should be 1,048,576 bytes.
MD5:

Look here:
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/so...3A79-T_Deluxe/
Every bios is exactly 1024kB, that's the size of flash rom chip.
As you can see from gotvoltage's comments, it's fine and even better than 0602.
KIK,,
if you still cant get the volts higher ,,Try loading OPtimized defaults,, then do a Clear CMOS. Sometimes when flashing a new Bios you can easily forget to Clear CMOS after Flashing. I had to clear three times in row with some Bioses on Boards before they worked good
Hahaha ,, he got me too when i first downloaded it:ROTF:
