what does it bring this new bios version ? Anyone test it yet ?!
What is it suposed to fix or bring some new features ?!
I have update to this 1.3b01 bios. Still multiper is not working for qx9650. And also ther is a bug With DDR2. When i set x9 and mems 800 after reboot bios show's 1100mhz!! This bios have many bugs!!
I think you have to enable to get the multiplier working on the qx9650. Do you mind giving that a try?
Anyone else have a feeling that ABIT in a problem?! no good bios support , no new releases when everyone else have them, like X48 and nforce 780 motherboards.
Wonder where they headed.
OOPS
Sorry, from what I am reading, you have to enable EIST to get the multipler working.
The past few months, Every motherboard I've bought into has been absolute crap in everything, from bios to support.
Abit is terrbile with the slow bios updates, and terrible RMA.
Asus has been awful with their tech support and god awful bioses for their s771 boards
Although, EVGA has been good, but with 680i not supporting Yorkfields (and nvidia claiming that it would) put a sour taste in my mouth. so I am going to stay away from nvidia for a while. Their Firewire is slow anyhow.
I really need to stick to my guns, and just go with an Intel or DFI board next time.
550 fsb on this board ,not bad :)

some 2900xt cf runs here http://www.octeamdenmark.com/forums/...6577#post16577
Man just finished setting up the board and on 1st boot, some chip on the board caught fire! Crazy. Newegg will RMA this right?
Yesterday I tried the B13 Bios, but no improvements. Divider 1:1 doesn't worked anymore with my E2160 and 1:1,5 calculated wrong Frequencies...
I'm very displeased with Abit's support.. :(
I have this board and it works pretty good 24/7 with E8400@447x9, 4xBallistix 1:1
What's supposed to be better with this board vs the IP35 Pro?
Espen
Some "whiners" here I see.
You don't call <insert-mb-facturer>-support for OC/Bios-settings. :)
This is something you find out by testing/"home"-research. Or code your on Beta-Bios (somebody actually do this) :D
If the board is (too) difficult or just a bad sample, move on, buy another mb.
Got my iX38 Quad GT a few days ago. With a Q9450.
It benches nicely at 475x8, only VCore up a notch (1.325 in Bios = 1.28 load).
Will boot at FSB=490 (but "loops" like my old Gigabyte P965-DS4).
Have not tried much tweaking yet.
Preliminary 24/7 setting is 437x8 @ 1.275 VCore. (All other Volt-settings at stock).
Rock stable.
Ok, I need some help. I was running a q6600@4 with 1.5v and patriot 4 1gb 1066 sticks at 960 (or close to) and I started having boot issues. I found out that my ram was bad and took some (2 1gb sticks) crucial 800 out my my friends computer to hold me over. We memtested the ram before utting it in my computer, no errors. I dropped the q6600 down to 3.6@1.45 with the ram at 798. Worked great for about a week and now I'm having all kinds of problems. I've gotten post codes 26, 6d, 9.9, and even freezing and crashing into windows. Games and other programs just suddenly stop working (third time typing this). I memtested the ram and it is good. I'm I right thinking that the board is going bad? Any other ideas? Thanks.
klataa, thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that I've been running everything at stock settings now for two days or so and I'm still having this problem. It takes between 10-15+ trys before it starts and will run. I don't think 1.5v is to high, I'm on phase and it never gets hot and was completely stable. Also if it was the q6600, I don't think that the board wouldn't post different codes (I think there is one that blames the cpu too, correct?) as it does and freezes at different spots? I don't think that 450x9 is pushing the board to hard, but maybe. Been running it at that for about a year now. I have another q6600 I can use, but I'm pretty sure it's the board. I guess its time to RMA, how's abit with RMA's?
I had a ocz 850w psu that i pulled out and checked, no problems with the psu. I put in an antec 850w psu and checked it before putting it in, no problems with the psu. I've been having the problems with both psu's, so I think its safe to say its the board. Thanks again.
Im having issues with latest bios(NOT BETA) with the rams on my sig. It doesnt boot up. I have to exchange the ram with anotherone set the bios V for ddr2 to 2.35 and sometimes it boots up.
IF not, it stays on C1. It boots up with cheap ass Kingston memory! :@
Is there any real fix for this?
I CANT Overclock because of the stupid C1 error, its imposible to set something on the bios, turn off, swap rams, turn on again, and pray that it boots to windows.
Help guys.
currently i have some weird issues with my vga cards not getting recognised, the fans run @full speed and fan reg doesn'T kick in.
i have to restart the pc around 3-4 times until the cards work but then all my oc settings are lost and i have to reset all timings and voltages
anyone else had this problem???
honestly with a q6600 the 12.08 was and is the best bios that i've tested with. that is with the specs below. if I had WC i'd be able to do 4Ghz with this chip easy. What more can i ask of it? 19.9k in 3dmark06
one thing on the Quads at the higher fsb speeds I get stable running conditions when i adjust the CPU GTLREF to 70% from the standard 67%. at 67% its unstable at 3.9Ghz1.45V, but with 70% 4.0Ghz was stable but my temps were too high on the cpu. maybe that helps.
Why my ram is so slow is it normal with e2160 ?
What to do to speed up ram?
Maybe try 1:1 with cpu but how setup voltages to boot at 500fsb?
My ram is OCZ PC6400 2x1GB platinium rev2 and OCZ PC8000 2x2GB
BIOS ID:12
System win xp 64bit sp2 but in 32bit its same.
