hey guys is there any guides on overclcoking this board, id be happy with a 3ghz clock anmd to overclcok my ram from 667 to 800, not aksing much, but i know my cpu/ram will cope easily with that , once i get it stable at those speeds ect will go further, but for now as above will do, and tbh, this bios is totaly different form my previous asus p5dh deluxe mobo, so i havent got a clue where to start, any help would be great

so far i can easily overclcok my cpu to 3.6ghz orthos stable, the toruble im having is with my cheap ramlol yes i know i need to change it but it was iether the ram or the new board, i needed new board, so there we go, anyhow i have got corsiar value select ddr2 667 on my old board i was able to overclock the ram to pc800 nps, on this board its a diff matter, cant find ideal settings
What are the rated timings and voltage for the memory? If you can't get them up to 800mhz you can always run 1T and tight timings at 667mhz. Make sure you are at 2T while trying to clock them up as well...

And tbh al of the peeps i have spoken to not to mention forum posts on various forums, reckon for the exspense of water cooling northbrdge/southbridge/and mosfets, its not worth it, as you still get high temps, saying that my temps are well within tollerance. so atm i wont be watercooling mine, a good old 40mm fan strapped to my northbridge is working liek a charm.
Any opinions on my temps guys and gals ?

No one ever said anything, but is that 39400 on 3d mark 03 good or bad for the settings used?
I just picked up an HR-09s so I can post some pics (it won't be till Friday tho). Actually, the HR-09s has a clip-pin mounting system, but I doubt it will fit the IN-9. Also the mosfets chips look extremely fragile (many reports of cracking them), so I wouldn't mount anything but the stock unit without creating some sort of shim.
If I can properly cool my mosfets with a custom setup, it'll be easy to mount a small cpu heatsink to cool the nb (there is so much space for that), and some sort of passive sb sink (good enough for my non-sli setup).

The pad is fairly malleable. I've stored them in ziplock bags, and reapplied.
As promised, here are some aircooling modifications I've undertaken.
Mounting a HR-09s.
This was NOT easy!
On the hardware, the HR-09 comes in 2 varieties, straight and slanted (this refers to whether the upper/lower banks of heatsinks are straight above each other, or offset). I picked up the slanted, which probably turned out to be the wrong choice.
On orientation and fit. The HR-09 mounts by 2 clips that slide over the flat part of the heatsink by 2 small rails, adding the necessary push pins. Unfortunately, the shorter of the 2 heatsinks is about 5mm too LONG. When centered, the flat portion of the heatsink covers about 3/4 of both mounting holes in the motherboard. You may be able to trim down the flat portion of the heatsink and achieve the proper length. This will take some work, tho, because the heatsink is NOT disassemblable, and the plate is made of nickel plated copper, which is damn hard.
I opted to traditionally mount the heatsink with threaded 4-40 holes and machine screws. Thus, the only option was to use the larger heatsink bank. The larger heatsink bank will actually fit without hitting any caps or widgets, so the project was a go!
However, if you use the larger heatsink plate, the slanted version leans the other bank into the cpu socket! You can flip the orientation, but then the heatpipe conflicts a bit with the 8pin power socket. So I ended up carefully twisting and bending the heatpipe so that the slant would go outwards, over the i/o ports rather than the socket. In retrospect, should have gone with the straight.
As mentioned, the pwm circuits are extremely fragile. Therefore I set about making shims. Combing thru my house, I found some metal that was exactly the same height as the shims on the stock heatsink, and this is what I found:

Folded the stock tim pad for good contact.

It was difficult to avoid puncturing the heatpipe, but I managed. Doesn't have too many threads, but it has enough!

I'll be honest, this modding was pretty sketchy, and I was more than a little anxious when I powered her on. But it looks great thus far.
Prior to my mod, with my e4300, open bench rig, the PWM were hitting 45c under orthos load.
With the HR-09, I'm looking at about 38c under load.
With a 7-volted 50mm fan on the HR-09, they're actually about 34c under load.
The heatpipe and the top bank do get warm.
Is the only-2-core multi/OC issue with respect to quad cores resolved on this board yet? Did they release a BIOS that addressed the problem successfully?

Nice job there Navig... might have to grab myself one of those and give it ago. Thats some pretty impressive temps u have on those PWM's now... probably the best ive seen.
