From what I understand GNU the few boards RD600 boards that have been sent to our German distributors are already sold out. Don't worry thou more are on the way. You local DFI supplier should have them near the end of the month. Demand is high so you might want to reserve one.
agreed, reservation is the way to go it seems. Should have mine today, can't wait...
damn, i figured they would pop up on newegg today so i can pull the trigger on conroe. hope they get em before the promo code for the $265 ballistix tracer pc2 8000 runs out on the 15th:(
I hope my distributor gets some before the end of the month, don't know what else to do without it (with my new rig)
If you don't mind, what Ballistix promo code is that?
I had my eye on the 2GB PC8000 kit, but it went up $30 before I could pull the trigger ($309 -> $339). Interestingly, the Tracer kit of the same specs is $14 cheaper ($325).

I got my ICFX today, haven't had much time to play with it yet tho. Things that I found:
Check the NB cooler. Mine had loads of thermal compound. Temp in BIOS was 52°C (~125°F). Now with a watercooler, I'm priming 1.9V on the NB at 54°C (~129°F)

Like RD480 and RD580, the RD600 comes with ATI's - now AMD's - System Manager. It contains loads of voltage, timing and clocking features, even independent RAM clocking. It also comes with the typical ITE Smart Guardian, which seems to be pretty accurate with the CPU temp. 12V and 5V show 0.1-0.2V less than my DMM tho.

The shipping BIOS on my board is dated 12/22, which is the latest one.
Man you're not kidding about the thermal grease!!!
thats always the first thing i do...remove all hs, and re-apply tim....thats a perfect example of why.
with all the thought that goes into designing a mobo, and bios..etc....
why cant they apply the tim properly? or at least show the factory workers the proper procedure....
...guess, good help is hard to find...lol
looking foward to seeing some results from you guys...
How do you get the northbridge sink off?
